Do the Oilers need more from Connor McDavid? Gino Reda is joined by TSN Hockey Analyst Ryan Rishaug to discuss McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers heading into Game 3 tonight against the Dallas Stars.
I believe the Oilers have the best record at home too in the playoffs, so what will prevail? Oilers at home? or Dallas on the road? Ultimately, I don't think it means much as we get into the nitty gritty stage of the series. I expect Coach Knob to take advantage of last line change. Also, the Oilers need to shoot from everywhere! They've been guilty of over passing and looking for the perfect play, especially on the pp.. SHOOT THE PUCK!! 4 - 2 Oilers GO OILERS GO!
2nd most points in post season so far, he has to be one of the top minutes played forwards so far but yeah McDavid needs to step it up, his team can just sit there and ride his coat tails.
It's truly a clash of titans! The Oilers' offensive prowess goes head-to-head with Dallas' formidable defense in what promises to be an electrifying matchup. With the league's leading firepower against a rock-solid defensive wall, every moment on the ice is bound to be intense.
It looks to me a lot like McDavid is less than 100%. We don’t know what his injury was at the end of the year, but I don’t think Esa Lindell catches him on a partial break if McDavid is 100%, even if he’s been out for a minute already. Besides that, he’s just not getting the separation he normally does and his cutbacks aren’t as dangerous. He’s also doing more fly bys and giving up on battle more than I believe he would if he wasn’t hurt.
Every video of Rishaug is, "I think they need to hit more" and every question of his is, "Do you think you guys need to be more physical?" Basically the whole playoffs. Good analysis bro. smh
May as well just put a saddle on McDavid for how much the players on the Stars ride him. They have no reason not to if they aren't going to call any of the hooking, holding, interference against him.
Quit whinning.. the refs aren't on your team quit relying on them.. maybe just run the goalie a bunch more... You guys are too much. 0-3 on your pp so far too. Figure it out dude.
Almost 2 points a game is not enough for McDavid. What is enough? Also, with Dallas it is going to be a low scoring defensive games. Edmonton has to shut them down too and that will sacrifice some offense. That means low points for McDavid and Draisaitl.
Um…Dallas doesn’t take many penalties in general. Are ppl trying to get refs to make phantom calls? Lol If the Oilers want to see more penalties, then maybe they can see some random calls against their own players. 😂
Oilers adjusted to that last night. Look at the number of odd man chances Edm had in the Stars zone last night due to that forward cheating high. If the Oilers can take that option away, that's about 70% of the Stars offense.
Dallas takes penalties but why are they not called? Examples: Game 1 Ekholm is tripped when he is deep in the Dallas end, game 2 Holloway is hit at center ice when he doesn't have the puck which is interference and not called.
@@tdfmtig That's pretty much what I mean. Each team got one penalty against them for the whole game and it seems pretty fair, but ppl still have a need to b!tch and complain including the Oilers coach. Like I said before, if the fans want to see more penalties called, then the refs should randomly call more penalties on the Oilers...
