Fury is the one that was name calling and doubting Usyk pedigree. The question should be how good was Fury since he got beat by a jumped up middleweight. Fury felt like he was in the ring with an amateur and was having so much fun to the point he won 9rounds

The premise that Fury is an elite hw is a misnomer. Fury is certainly good, but not great. He hasn't fought enough of his contemporaries to have earned that distinction. Claiming oneself the greatest without the resume is simply hyperbole.
@dontbewoke good question.. I actually think the whole hw division is soft these days, hence why a middleweight is able to take over. I consider Usyk a great cw, and very good hw.. on the level with the likes of a Holyfield and Roy Jones.

He can’t beat Usyk. There’s only one way of beating Usyk, and it is almost impossible. You have to get him out of there in the first 6 rounds, before he starts gaining rhythm and momentum, otherwise you are going to lose. It’s as simple as that. Fury won’t be able to do that because he’s slowing down and declining. He has to reserve his energy for the duration of the fight. If Fury was to come out all guns blazing trying to knock Usyk out, he will drain all his energy and be gassed by round 7. It’s over for Fury. Usyk wins again.

Fury is not a great fighter, his resume is paper thin and he avoided contenders wilfully for years and for a good reason, he has length and good coordination especially when you consider how tall and fat he is but he lacks the will, will to work hard, to sacrifice, he is lazy oaf who is lazy inside and outside the ring, he won't magically change his disgusting habits that he cultivated all those years, he has a slim chance of winning, if he goes 12 they will give him the split decision to set him up VS Joshua, they already tried to rob Usyk giving him Split Decision win, it was disgraceful. Hopefully Alex will get him outta there in December and shut him up for good

I basically agree with you and , I think a big factor is the fact that Usyck is fighting for a transpersonal cause ( i.e. Ukrainian honor) and Fury is fighting for an egotistic cause ( i.e. "I'm the greatest") and in this one even that was week as evidenced by his statement " I fight to get paid and get laid". For fury to even stand a chance of winning the rematch he needs to quit the delusion of having won the first match and look at what he did wrong. Usyk will be now have sat down and rewatched the fight with his team and will pick out what he did wrong. Usyk will improve. Whether fury does we don't know. If fury puts it on Usyk he has to knock him out near in mind fury will be forced to operate at a pace he cannot sustain, meaning Usyk has free shits later. It will not be a long fight if fury works at the same rate. He can't slow down either as he will be picked apart. U r right with the wilder comments except that u r not mentioning that wilder was the most protected and babied champion in history whose resume is appalling. Fury has been a bad cherry picker. He moved from the first wilder fight to fighting wallin and Schwartz who were not ranked in the top 20. He could have fought Whyte and so could wilder(who chose Ortiz 2 instead). Instead fury aged Whyte out and took over two years to step into the ring with Usyk even reneging on a ridiculous 70/30 split that Usyk accepted. This is HEAVYWEIGHT boxing , OF COURSE, one well aligned punch can sway it either way , BUT , if one boxer is better than the other , the odds stack in the better boxer's favour ,,, Usyk is a much better boxer ,, fighter ,, whatever, Usyk is without doubt more experienced, he's seen it all and no doubt in a better place to capitalise on any issues he experienced in the first fight , UNLIKE Fury , who can't see he was beat and therefore cannot improve, Usyk has already studied the fight many times and identified where he needs to improve where he felt the rounds didn't go in his favour.
FURY certainly has a attributes to beat Usyk if he focuses the fight and works really hard.The question now is will he.Its not impossible but I'm sure many have doubts about thar.
Fury can win the rematch, its boxing anything can happen and the fight was very competitive up to Rd8. He did hurt Usyk too but not anything serious Usyk didn't look in danger of getting stopped or down but he felt couple body shots and needed a breath and uppercut buzzed him abit. I predicted Usyk to win first fight and I did think he would in dominant fashion either beat Fury up and hurt him bad or a stoppage from round 9, I kinda got both right. For me although Fury is a great fighter alot of perception of Fury is smoke and mirrors. Fury doesn't have many title fights and very few top 10 fighters. He is known for Klitschko and Wilder fights. The Klitschko fight I think is the biggest smoke and mirrors in Fury career, Fury did very little in that fight, he couldn't get centre of the ring all night, missed alot and having done a punch count Wladimir landed more punches and significantly more to head both jab and power. Fury troubled Wladimir with his movement and energy and dimensions but Wladimir was much better technically and was able to do the better work and control the ring. This was a faded 39 year old Wladimir and a peak Fury, Usyk is fresher and has more wrinkles to his game, more versatile and Fury isn't at his peak anymore, Usyk much better technique was always going overwhelm Fury and it did. Doesn't mean Fury can't win, he is a big man and can punch and good enough to have moments but i favoured Usyk heavy. In rematch I favour Usyk even more because he is going into that having already figured Fury out, Usyk adjusted and found answers, Fury was still looking for answers and will still going into that rematch. Tactics wise I think Fury was excellent, I didn't think Fury would take centre of ring and try back Usyk up because Fury is too smart he knows boxing and he knows in the centre of ring Usyk will turn him and expose Fury infearer co-ordination and balance, Fury using the ropes to limit how Usyk can move round him and turn him was smart. Fury also didn't turn on his punches too much which is smart because if your the tall man you don't want to turn on punches to much you lose your height and Usyk is very good on front foot countering that. You have to time when you turn on the punch and control the distance and get that timing first. Usyk had to get closer to Fury and stay on the front foot more because he wasn't getting to much of Fury to counter and Fury had success when Usyk got in that space. Usyk adjusted though and changed the tempo and angles and punches of rythme and there is absolutely nothing Fury can do about that, Usyk can fight in range an entire fight at elite level, Fury has never done that, not close, Fury can feint and prob and control the line from the back foot, but Usyk can control the line from back and front foot and feint and do it moving his feet,punching and crossing line (head movement) simultaneously changing the angles and rythme in range for 3 minutes every round. Usyk is levels above enough so to overcome Fury physical advantages again.

Something not mentioned often is that fury was offered Klitschko a few years or least a couple years before they fought in Germany... So vlad was 36/ 37 ... Those 2/3 years make a difference and it's said fury deliberately waited for Klitschko to age and take more damage first, sounds familiar hey? He's basically waited best part of another 3 years to fight usyk prob hoping it would be to his advantage.. I think fury is the most calculating, devious person in boxing, he clearly never wanted usyk and it was obvious to anyone with half a brain... If he lived like usyk for the last 20 years he could of been in usyk shoes now, respected, admired, undisputed but he sabotaged it all, too many mental issues to ever be like usyk
@@TheDreamer1980 True, IBF final mandatory was called between Fury and Pulev but Fury ducked it avoiding Pulev who was a dangerous fight at time, messing Pulev about delaying his eventual title shot and avoiding the chance for himself to fight Klitschko earlier. Couple of years later Fury took the number 1 mandatory fight WBO I think vs Dereck Chisora, I guy he was familiar with and already beat.

Such a shame these title bouts carry rematch clauses now we have to wait 6 months for that to happen. Let the defeated man earn his place in the queue like boxers of old. We've waited impatiently for the Gypsy Queen to fight Joshua who he's ducked and ran from for years. Styles make fights and Joshua is a very good boxer and can knock anyone out whereas Fury doesn't punch his weight so I can't see him knocking Joshua out or outboxing him. Usyk is a worthy dignified champion who has beaten Joshua unlike foulmouthed Fury who has cherry picked opponents and is a dreadful ambassador to youngsters following the sport.
Fury lowered his guard and through a lazy combo which Usyk capitalized on, Then rocked him. Coming into this rematch, Fury needs to make serious changes with his cardio and not let himself get comfortable with Usyk. That’s what costed him the fight.
I dont think he can because he would have to not only match usyk but OUTMATCH him too. Fury is an experienced former champion who is t perhaps not as good as large segments of media have made him to be. because both his character and even his actual abilty have been subhect to question which have left an unflattering impression on Fury as a fighter.
Fury's hight and weight, his clinching, shoving, pushing, holding, hitting with open gloves and open inside palms, holding behind the neck while hitting uppercuts at the same time and all the other semi-legal tricks he always got away with, all that which worked against low ranked average fighters, is not working for him anymore, neither against a novice Ngannou, and especially not against top ranked fighters. Time for "the greatest heavyweight of all times Fury" 🤣😂LOL, to call it a day. Simply not good enough for top ranked fighters.

Fury himself has been the worst for dismissing fighters after a loss. I seem to remember him whaling in on Joshua after the Ruiz loss and even more so after the Usyk losses whilst avoiding doing in the ring with Usyk. Fury is simply getting the same treatment him and his cult have been mating out whilst proclaiming supremacy in the division. Usyk has been dismissed in Joshua and fury fights only to put on a tutorial on both fighters. Yes fury had some success in the mid rounds, but we all saw what happens when the middleweight stepped things up. Happy new year
Maybe if Fury and his team pay off not just the referee and one judge but another judge they may get the win. He weighs 40 or so pounds more than someone who is fighting at a weight way above what is normal/healthy for him, is half a foot taller and obviously greater arm span but this was'nt enough so the first option above. Or just accept like we all have that Usyk is the man - cleared the division in 6 fights
Fury has claimed on video that he drank 4 pints before his fights with Wilder!!!!! Fury has also said that he was addicted to drugs and alcohol before, so having even 1 drink just sets the behaviour being active again! He needs to be honest with himself, check in Rehab for care and remain abstinent. He has to be pitied as his illness is not completely understood by society. It may be that he has to lose everything before he finds sobriety, and I do feel sorry for his wife and children. Perhaps if he listened to Mike Tyson and tried to follow his example, he'd stand a chance of getting in the ring and winning matches again!
Fury got his belt by beating a over the hill 40 year old man Klitschko , who was great champion but at the end of his career. If you watch that fight he ran away for 10 rounds and fought the last 2. I had it a draw or a split decision at the most and Fury refused to fight him again after due to alleged mental health problems. Then he got a life line via Wilder and Wilder then decided to fight Fury three times in a row because of the Wilder's stupid ego, inadvertently making a name for Fury by doing so , even the great Ali did not do this. Wider is the only high calibre fighters fury has fought and from this he has claimed he was one of the greatest HW's of all time in history. He never fought enough credible opponents nowhere near. Now if he wins Usyk in the 2nd fight and then beats Joshua he can say he is one the best since Lewis but this looks like a very high mountain to climb from where he is now.
