Liu Yuning, I absolutely fell in love with Hao Du in Long Ballad. He's an incredibly talented, motivated, inspirational man, I admire his determination and as for the comments about him being ugly....do these people have eyes? Maybe he's not everyone's type but I like the way he looks, tall, lovely soft and sparkly eyes and a very gentle smile. He has beautiful lips and his voice when he sings is perfection for me. ❤

I think Liu Yuning is way much better looking than those actors portayed as handsome. he is not girlishly handsome ( according seemingly to the immature taste of chinese fans ) but he has undeniably a beauty and an attractiveness of his own . He has a charismatic presence and he is a very good actor . Do not forget that beauty is in the eye of the beholder .

I’m a 61 year old American grandmother. I am in love and awe with the costume shows. The production and acting are phenomenal. Luo Yunxi is a stunning man, Deng Wei is adorkable with a beautiful smile, Tan Jianci has the kindest, softest eyes, Xiao Zhan has that brooding smolder thing, haven’t seen the others. I don’t like contemporary shows, western or eastern, so keep the costumes coming!😉

Check out Zhou Yi Wei in the Rebel Princess. I'm over 60 in the US, too. I really appreciate the more mature actors who still have that appeal. They really know how to draw you into the emotions on the screen.

I loved Luo Yunxi’s Machiavellian Run Yu. But his interpretation of Lord Pu Chi (Snake immortal) disguised as Run Yu was simply genius! Luo Yunxi is a great actor. I hope he’s healthy and happy and will give us many more amazing roles in the future ❤❤❤

Luo Yunxi's Runyu is really one of the most memorable second leads with such a complex character. And the worst second lead syndrome to me was given by Xiao Zhan's Moran in Oh my emperor.

Tan Jianci developed that smoldering look during his Latin dance ballroom days. It sets the mood for the dance. Works perfectly in these dramas. Liu Yuning was also second lead in Legend of Anle, and did very well there. I love that he is more mature and has a distinctive look. Doesn't blend in with all the others. I loved Xiao Zhan's look in the first part of The Wolf. As the wanderer bounty hunter, he was rustic, with 5 o'clock shadow. Looked AMAZING. Luo Yunxi also was quite memorable in Princess Silver. Another tragic character.

@@Chinesestarbuzz Liu Yuning was a tragic character in Legend of Anle and in Heroes. At least he had a happy ending in The Long Ballad. Xiao Zhan's character in The Wolf suffered unrequited love, but at least they didn't have him wandering off alone at the end. Another actor with the smoldering look is Zhou Yi Wei. Tragic character in Longest Day in Chang'an, but peel me off my chair in The Rebel Princess. I've melted. You ought to do a segment on more mature male leads like him, Mark Chao, Jing Chao, who still have that appeal.

Deng Wei is my favorite. I first saw him in Miss The Dragon. I like watching his dramas. I've also watched The Journey Of Chongzi, Till The End Of The Moon and Lost You Forever because of him. I like Liu Yunning too. He's manly handsome not girly handsome.

In my conclusion that looks maybe affect how we perceived the actors but in the end we cant tolerate bad acting.That is why some 2ndML can outshine a ML! because they can interpret the characters well through thier good acting.

Tan Jianci can no longer be called a second lead as he has had a number of prominent main leads and is scheduled for many more. He is very talented and extremely good-looking and for some is only a little vertically challenged. Deng Wei is not an acting genius (yet) but one doesn't have to be to outperform Dylan Wang, who I really loved in Unchained Love. Luo Yun Xi has not had supporting role since before Ashes of Love (2018]. Lui Yu Ning, now you're talking main lead material. He comes across as sweet and very appealing, his musical talent is phenomenal. Like Luo Yun Xi, Xiao Zhang is not my cup of tea, enough said. Wei Zheming is a totally unknown to me, so no comment.

My all time 2023 dramas: 1. Liu Yuning - A Journey to Love. Liu Yunung is so talented, handsome, and beautiful ❤ 2. Leo Yunxi - Till The End of the Moon. Leo Yunxi is phenomenal and super hot. Liu Yuning and Leo Yunxi are my two favorite actors! Praying both of them much success in 2024 ❤

I am a fan of Wuxia/Xanxia dramas. The second lead usually is a more interesting character than the perfect angel like first lead. Sometimes a not that bad demon, sometimes the comedy relief character, etc. Being the antihero in love is so much more interesting in feelings than the hero in love. And as we connect to the actors thru feelings, not only visuals. That is why I alllwwwayyys have second lead syndrome. ( It also happens to me with kdramas )

Luo Yunxi (Till the end of the moon 🙌👏) es mi actor chino favorito, su mirada es tan expresiva que ni siquiera necesita hablar para transmitir las emociones de sus personajes. Ashes of Love doesn't appeal to me at all, which is a shame because the character of Runyu was really very interesting: tragic, complex and so well played, he is the whole point of this drama. After knowing Runyu, I became a fan of Luo Yunxi because he is an incredible actor, with many complex and sad roles, and he is very good at stunts and fight scenes.

Xiao Zhan is the only god here. He was so good in The Wolf. His character, the prince, was such an awesome human being it killed the leads for me. He is a cut above everyone here. So beautiful. I hope there is a reversal on this scary trend of uber skinniness. So many now look like they are going through chemo or some other heavily taxing treatment. So many gorgeous guys in Asian cinema (the period fantasies are my fav) but the skinny thing is a worry. More Hanfu please

I hope Liu Yuning stays true to himself and does not try to change himself in any way to please the fans .I would like to mention as an exemple the internationaly celebrated Indian actor Sharkh khan who was deemed by nearly all the directors of casting ugly and unworthy of having a role as an actor . he became one of the most beloved and famous Idian actor. beauty for a man is manliness charisma inner strentgh and beauty .there is nothing more ugly and despicable than a man with make up and lipstick.
