As a United fan I am shocked and embarrassed by the result. The players weren't good enough and Skinner definitely isn't good enough. I know Skinner is signed, but he needs to go. We are definitely in trouble next season...
I imagine Earps wanted to strangle her defenders with her bare hands. They were letting attackers in left and right. That's unfair to a goalkeeper of her quality.
In a way, the fact that Chelsea felt beforehand that they would need to win by a big margin probably made it easier, mentally for them. It drove them on relentlessly. If they went into that game just needing a narrow win, the mind set could have changed after going 1-0 ahead and it could have got nervy for them. As it turned out, Man City only won by a one goal margin themselves so 1-0 would have seen Chelsea as champs anyway.
@@englanduk6131 That was always going to be the accusation or that they'd been partying too much after the Cup Final. However, no team wants to get humiliated like that, especially in their own bigger main stadium. Ever since Man Utd got promoted to the WSL in 2019, they've only managed one draw and eight league defeats against Chelsea. This Chelsea team was on a mission and I don't think even a motivated Man Utd could have stopped them.
