Gonna get boo'd for my favorite musical movie adaption, but it's Phantom of the Opera. I know, I know, Gerard Butler does not have the voice for Phantom. But he manages to be captivating anyway.
The Phantom of the Opera is a great pick. I love the costumes and set design. What's your favorite song from the musical? I'm really glad you shared your thoughts! Have a lovely day =)
It took me awhile to come around on into the woods. I remember hating it at first when it came out but maybe after a year or so I started to like it. I mean I still don’t love it by any means but once you understand the context behind it, you start to appreciate it more. The only thing I don’t like about it is that all the dialogue is musical based. Theres no normal lines of dialogue. It would’ve been nice to have a breather every once in a while you know?
Into the Woods is one of my favorite musicals! I'm not a huge fan of the movie version, taking away the narrator was not a good call in my opinion. The cast of the film is fine, Meryl Streep is MERYL STREEP you know? Honestly, I think the Broadway original cast or the 2022 cast does it the best!
Yep! Two seasons of pure fun! This was the show that got me to love theater. I appreciate all of the wonderful music that came with it. Honestly, I'd recommend listening to the soundtrack!
Are we talking about "9" the movie with ragdolls in a post-apocalyptic world? Or "Nine" the movie musical directed by Rob Marshall starring Fergie, Kate Hudson, and Nicole Kidman? It's a little confusing...haha! Ironically enough they both came out in 2009 as well!
Mary Poppins Returns honestly was a pretty good sequel to the original movie. Emily Blunt played the character really well. Julie Andrews didn’t want to do any cameos in it at all so as not to overshadow her. Have you watched it yet at all?
My mother is a huge fan of Mary Poppins so for Mother's Day I say it with her. It was fun, I just really don't like all the CGI in musicals nowadays. I do think Emily Blunt did wonderfully and it was nice to see Dick Van Dyke!
I’m guessing you’ve seen mean girls starring Lindsey Lohan right? I saw the new musical movie very recent. I really enjoyed it overall. It was definitely enough to stand out from the original movie.
Mean Girls is a wonderful film. I have a lot of respect for Tina Fey and her work! I personally really like the Mean Girls musical on Broadway. There are a lot of wonderful performances and overall a different vibe from the Original film. Haven't seen the new film, I might watch it when it comes out on a streaming service...I don't know.
Sinbad legend of the seven seas was the one dreamworks animated movie that almost destroyed the company and because of it they decided not to do 2D movies anymore. Only 3D. It kind of explains a lot am I right?
I think it was an ambitious movie. I can't really remember all that much about it, but I enjoy it as a kid. You could also say that about the Princess and the Frog as well. That was the last fully 2d animated film Disney made...does that make it a bad film?
@@CinemaOverAnalyzed no it was pretty well received overall but tangled exceeded all expectations the following years and princess and became a huge box office success, making the frog became all but forgotten about. Not that it wasn’t successful to begin with. But then frozen came out 3 years later and we all know what happened with that one.
Did you end up seeing the little mermaid live-action remake that came out last year at all? It’s far from the worst remake from Disney but definitely not great either.
