Yes u r right, India did conquer South East Asia but in those ancient times there were not many people there even if there were, they were only more of Chinese people removed from their own country. Indian rulers settled them and gave them culture, language, food, trade(money), etc.. And in return had land which facilitated Indian trade. But unlike Britishers we increase the conquered country's GDP

During peak time of Indo-China tensions in Ladakh, twice Chinese troops ventured into Indian territories, were captured by Indian troops, held for a couple of days without any torture...in fact, treated very well...and then returned to China!! Once bitten twice shy goes a saying....why would Chinese soldiers make the mistake twice?? Were they trying to spy?? Hmm....we don't know. But why we do know is that India returned those soldiers to China! So add these more important info to the one in the video about the 3 Chinese 'civilians'! Also...there was an incident when Indian civilians (poor villagers who have no ideas of borders inside forests....unlike Chinese soldiers who know boundaries quite well) from Northeast state Arunachal Pradesh were captured by Chinese and tortured for days before diplomatic pressure made them release these poor people.
