www.wgu.edu/Chris - His whole life, Chris Cox of Atwater, California, had been told, "You can't do that!" His cerebral palsy had set physical limitations, but his mind was strong and he had academic and career goals he was determined to achieve. With the help of his mentor-who was himself overcoming debilitating mouth cancer-and a robust support system at WGU, he earned his bachelor's degree in Information Technology. He and course mentor Mike Peterson shared Chris' story at WGU's August 2015 commencement ceremony, held on August 15 at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.

Working through my third semester at WGU, after transferring from a state school. I haven't regretted my decision yet. WGU is, in my opinion, the best student-based school. Mr. Cox speech is a great motivation to keep fighting!

see. when I say wow or whoa or something... I'm not saying: their so inspiring cause they have a disability. I'm saying "heck yeah. heck yeah. friggen yeah, your one of the awesome ones. ones who said: screw you disability. screw you for thinking you can define me or who I am." that's why I love this. he saw: YOU CAN'T. and said "screw that I can too"
