At 7:20 you called Natalie Wood a rising starlet ... ? She had been a big star throughout the 60s and 70s ... she was one of the TOP FEMALE ACTORS . You can look at interviews with her for example on the Dick Cavett Show . I don't know who did the research but what an insult to call her a rising starlet . She started out as a child actress and was already making movies in the 1950s and after making movies such as Rebel Without a Cause with James Dean and Splendor in the Grass with Warren Beatty as well as This Property Condemned , with Robert Redford ... Love with the Perfect Stranger with Steve McQueen ... she was already a big star doing those movies . In other words Natalie Wood played opposite a number of the top leading actors at the time .
Walken was a triple threat he could act sing and dance with the best people in the business and he is one of the last ones like the greats of the WW2 era.
Natalie Wood was a child actress who successfully crossed over as an adult star. Her career wasn’t “about to take off.”. She was already a bigger star than Robert Wagner.
The most bizarre part of the story was when you referred to Natalie Wood as a "rising star". She had been and is, a major star and icon. Geez, these new kids.
I think they were saying she was not a has been that she just continued to get better and better which made her death even more of a tragedy! Young people aren’t very good with the explanations it would seem!
Yep absolutely did not do their research and what a travesty to say that about her when she was a big star already by the 1960s even in the 1950s actually
Natalie Wood a 'rising starlet, are you nuts??? She was a veteran actress with a huge list of iconic roles! She began her career at 8 years old and was 43 at her death. To call her a starlet is ridiculous and an insult to her legacy!
@@31Alden Heck no, he tossed her off the flipping boat. But, he'll never talk. It'll go to his grave. With Walken, at least he can give up Wagner. Wagner must have something on Walken.
@@dr.barrycohn5461 Well, at least we agree on one thing: Robert Wagner’s role in this tragedy. Something went down that night, something very nefarious and bad went down that evening. My guess is both men have something to divulge about the events prior and leading up to Natalie ending up in the water. Of particular note is Natalie Wood’s fear of water. To me, the matter of Walken having either had an affair with Wood or desiring Wood is moot. What man on planet earth didn’t desire Natalie Wood, after all. But something, as we know, went down that night. Is there a tacit and unspoken pact between Wagner and Walken re: the events of that night? Hmmm …
Nathalie Wood was not a starlette !!! How can you say that ? She was a full experienced and popular movies and television actress ! She performed in many first roles, worked with the best actors and directors. Her movies count "Miracle on the 34th street", "Rebel without a cause", "Splendor in the grass", "West side story", "Gypsy", "The great race", "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" among many others. Get your facts straight !
@@RumourJuice But you need to get your facts straight about Natalie Wood she was a first class A Lister actress from a very very young age get your facts straight before you make a video please
It is a little known fact that while he was filming Brainstorm his wife was there too She had a small part in the film. Not suggesting they were together 24/7. Just makes it less than likely that he would stray.
Yeah after more than 10 years of marriage, why did the wife not join him? Because she knew what she signed up for.. no children, no cooking, no career.. and no demands! That's why they've lasted this long.. they probably never argue because there is no passion and nothing to argue about lol. Seriously, I do believe he leads a double life that she is well aware of.
I always enjoy watching Christopher Walken portray many characters. I never realized he, himself, is as interesting a “character” in real life as the ones he plays on the screen. He is a classic!!
I saw Christopher Walkens 1st movie. He was maybe 6 or 7 yrs old. Ck it out. He was a natural. He was born to act and dance. He really can dance. He is Unique. Looks and talent 1 of a kind. thx
Nothing bizzare about Christopher. He's completely normal. The fact that he's been married with the same woman for 60 years with no kids shows how deep their relationship is. Robert Wagner killed Natalie but don't blame Christopher for her murder.
Natalie Wood was an established actress she’d been acting since she was a child . A rising star ? She was a major star . Her death was never fully looked at or investigated.
Petting my cats really helped when my hands took a turn with trigger finger, It worked it out, and no surgery. Petting the cats at bed time. No more trigger finger. so glad for my fur balls.
You love a cat because you never have to take care of it or even acknowledge they are there, and they do the same with you lol !! A puppy would be too much work for someone who doesn't want children
I saw Christopher Walken in Hamlet at Stratford, Connecticut ages ago. He was great and his interpretation unique. He was playing Hamlet a bit like Elvis, the moves. But he has this quality with moves, like a dancer. I believe he and his wife live in Connecticut. It’s a great story.
@@31Alden He liked Elvis, and loved that hair style, so he copied Elvis. I like his hair style; he is a fascinating person and actor. Sixty years of marriage, tells you something very "positive" about him! However, I do not believe Natalie had an accident and fell overboard, trying to get away. Not dressed in a nightgown, and the deep fear she had of drowning. I think "someone" knocked her out and put a jacket on her, to make it look like she was leaving.
If you didn’t see what happened you can’t assume. Why was the captain afraid of Wagner? Why was Walken afraid of Wagner? Seems everyone was afraid of this bully-possibly guilty of manslaughter and covering it up.
@@llamamama2910 the captain was a stalker. He was obsessed with Natalie Wood and spent the night before with her in a hotel room. No one ever mentions that.
I don't believe the captain was her stalker ... I wouldn't be surprised if that was made up about him to discredit what he has to say about what happened that night and the next day after she died
@@gardensofthegodsIt's not made up- and he actually admitted to part of what others claimed. Multiple staff members, and guests from the hotel on Catalina Island told police about the hotel part, which he admitted to, according to police reports. The stalker/obsessed part was the testimony of marina workers, bar staff, acquaintances, etc. I have no idea who did it or if it was an accident but this is why the case is not as open and shut as people want to believe.
They were drunk and disorderly in a restaurant and asked to leave. People who are drunk have accidents. Drunks don’t pay attention when one of the drunks leaves the “party”.
When I first saw Christopher, it was in "Annie Hall." He was Annie's brother and a somewhat strange and spooky character with whom Woody Allen felt uneasy about being alone in a car. And I saw him a lot later on and I really like the part he played in "the Dead zone." I am happy for him being an old man loving his wife and his work. Thank you for sharing this video. I was very thrilled.
@@whatsinaname11 Walken wouldn't.. by All accounts All those years ago Walken was dead drunk and sick of listening to Wagner badger on. Next morning nasty hangover and a missing Natalie.
Whatever happened on the boat, Wagner did not want her to live to tell. He knew she could not swim and feared water. The longer she was in the water, the greater the chances she would be found dead. How the man continues his life knowing what happened, is beyond me.
Only they know what happened. It's impossible to comment on something like this. You can't accuse anyone without proof. I have read that Robert Wagner threatened a witness, I have read that Natalie's sister blames Robert Wagner for her death. However, proof is needed. It was the saddest situation in the world.
Starlet is an outdated term for a young woman in Hollywood in her first few roles in major movies. Rising star is similar but more broad with gender, not so patronizing. Natalie Wood had plenty of known talent, a hug filmography list in her childhood and adult acting career and yes, was probably still rising. Sought after, acclaimed, celebrated, famous, well known…
Natalie Wood was not a rising starlet she was acting from a very very young age.. she has cemented her acting career already before she had kids and was married... get your fact straight before you make a video ..thank you very much
I’m actually watching Mel Gibson’s interview abt him, he said he’s scary and he mentioned “the anti-Christ”. Mel also said he didn’t wanna work with him
Are you nuts? Do your research! Natalie Wood was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood for decades before she died. The first divorce she had from Wagner was because he couldn't handle that she was a bigger success than he was. And Walken was still 'working on' being the legend he became when she died. Natalie Wood was bigger than both of them put together! And Walken is humble enough to agree. Wagner, on the other hand, probably killed her that night; and weaseled his way out of it. Try reading some biographies before you do your thing!
According to the boat's captain, Dennis Draven, Walken had been taking Qualudes as well as drinking heavily. He went to bed after Wagner smashed the bottle and when Draven went to check on him he was dead to the world. So he wasn't present or awake when Natalie went overboard.
@@palymond Dennis is unreliable. He was a stalker and obsessed with Natalie and even spent the previous night with her in a hotel room according to police.
It was Walken that was a rising star. He had made some great movies but Natalie was a great actress and starred in several great movies. And Walken should not say that Natalie died alone when her husband could have easily murdered her.
It could have been an accident. But you don't get all those bruises. From flopping in the water out of fear. Beg to defer Christopher. Only those on that boat will ever know. What really happened. The occupants of that boat will never incriminate each other. Sadly we will never know the truth. It will remain a mystery for Ms. Wood's family/the public. No justice for Ms. Wood how unjust.
Simple? There was nothing simple about that story, of how their marriage worked, what they did for work, and how his wife did everything for him? And the scandal? Nothing simple about that life!
I love this people don’t have to get married they don’t have to have kids I just hope for each one of us to live our lives in a decent way and not heard anybody else we’re all human beings and I love the decision you don’t have to be boxed in until what everybody else is doing or what they think is the right thing
Natalie Wood got drunk and fell overboard. She happened to be wearing a heavy fur coat which pulled her under the water, and she subsequently drowned. I remember it, and, at the time, that was the explanation and I believe it.
Yes,she was wearing a fur coat at the time she drowned, but was also extremely drunk! Christopher Walken, who has always been incredibly weird, just never talked about it, period!
Why are established, accomplished actresses so often called starlets in these kinds of videos? Talk about diminishing them. Natalie Wood had been a successful part of Hollywood since she was a young child. That is not a starlet, which I interpret as being a star wannabe.
Some videos also refer to Jean Simmons as a"starlet," which somehow diminish her being a major British star. I think it may have something to do with both actresses being pretty, slim, and very young at the height of their careers.
He sounds a bit selfish to me. I want you to give up your career to take care of me, and I also don't want children. Yes, I understand she agreed to it. But this video don't make CW, look good. And I'm a fan of his work.
Walken was not having an affair with Nathalie. He was having an affair with her husband and she caught them in the act. It was not the 1st time she caught Wagner with another man.
@@eileenmcchrystal8471 Even if I told you how I know this and why I’m so certain, you wouldn’t believe me because I don’t have actual proof so what’s the point? Believe me or not, it matters very little to me.
What went unnoticed was Natalie's enduring fear of water and drowning,( she didn't like even getting her hair washed) stemming from an incident on a film set. A bridge collapsed while she was on it, resulting in a broken wrist that failed to heal properly. To conceal the injury, she often wore large bangles.
Whoever wrote this article needs to not only do their research, but to grow up and realize the harm they can do without facts to support their groundless innuendos!
He's a great actor but his hair is the most bizarre thing for me. Since his wife does the "bills" and based on the way I assume him to be, I would be he doesn't even know what his worth is or if he does care or is non chalant about it.
In 1981, Natalie Wood was not a rising starlet. She was a revered actress. She had won several awards. Next time, do your research before publishing a video.
Walken is a great dancer and actor. He doesn't have any hobbies? Hello? Have you not done any research. He loves cooking. You limited your research to a couple a comments he made on talk shows. Walken never came clean about what took place on the boat. This is one of the worst waste of my time.
If it was a accident then why would you say something about a murder ⁉️ that’s ridiculous you don’t know what happened so you shouldn’t say he was involved in a murder maybe you should change your wording in your narration of this video some people are stupid enough to believe what they read or in this case hear‼️‼️
Just wondered. Was Walken’s wife on the boat or he wasn’t married at that time. I remember when the accident happened, but it’s ages ago. I think Wagner had definitely had to do something with it. They were all drunk. Shame Natalie was beautiful.
Despicable human. Not like Wagner, since he didn’t murder anyone, but still lying for the dude and his own career. I bet if he had told the truth there would have been a court case against Robert Wagner. Natalie deserves the justice.
Natalie Wood began her career at age 5. Hardly a rising star or her career was about to take off! She had been working steadily for decades! Miracle on 34th Street, West Side Story, just to name a couple of major movies she starred in. Please do some research before you put post!
No, not me personally but only because there's just nobody else like Walken, even when he isn't speaking. He's just too unique in his physical characteristics. I'd ever wager that we'd be hard pressed to find his "doppelganger" on Earth. He's one of a kind.👍
I would envy Georgianne Walken, but it wouldn't make any sense to. Even if Christopher Walken wasn't taken, I wouldn't deserve him. I'm nowhere near cool enough.
If I ever get married, I also don't plan on having children. Only because I'm autistic, and I don't want there to be another disabled person in my family. Don't worry, I'm a happy person, I like helping people, and I like to be polite. I would love to be an uncle, though.
There is no such thing as a “simple marriage”. That is absurd. Spoken by someone who’s obviously never been married. High time we let Natalie Wood Rest In Peace. She was anything BUT a “rising star”. Another absurd statement in this video.
Exactly, no such thing as simple marriage- it is simply an arrangement, and with no kids they don't even have much to really disagree about and that's how they live, lonely & loveless, and a cat lol
I prefer not to believe unfounded rumors. The most bizarre thing, if you want to call it that, is what a down-to-earth guy Christopher is. I guess down-to-earth is considered bizarre these days.
