Yall ruin every white working class neighbourhood you move to.. we cant deal with our corrupt govts when our groups constantly being displaced by ghettos.
Were doing* Things like this occurred all over the world during that period. Horrific to imagine how they did not see the moral of it all but there basically was none back then.
@amstonger still better than nothing and you discouraging people does more damage than anything...people said boycotting Starbucks and McDonald's for Palestine ( different issue but still applies) wouldn't do anything but people boycotting those places in the middle east caused Starbucks and MCDs to suffer massive loses....so maybe if things like this go viral Citibank will suffer loses
@@Ahmed-og2jm thinking like this is why we have replica american food chains in China or Iran AND THEN we ask stupid questions like where did c*vid come from??? food is a necessity, why the fuck are we talking like it’s a bargaining tool.
@@garrettgoss2691 many of the taxes you pay don’t directly tie you to them but your ok with paying them and not knowing what they are. Why does this make you think otherwise?
This has ALWAYS bothered me for the Haitian people. You deserve so much more. So much more. You're owed so much more. I'm sorry that governments are like this and people stick their heads in the sand when it comes to Haiti and the damage we have caused.
The way it’s CONTINUING is fucking disgusting. US telling Kenyans to occupy Haiti to keep its neocolony subjugated, but without having white faces cracking the whip. While using the UN’s backing to justify and whitewash the obvious colonialism.
I mean, America has its power specifically bc of how corrupt it is lol. There is a reason they don’t want the dirty parts of American history taught in schools
Watching your channel gain tens of thousand the last few days is so satisfying. Im actually learning history through it which shows how talented you are alwiyh storytelling.
A closer approximation of the conflict is that it was Toussaint and the Haitian Revolutionaries vs the French Expeditionary force sent to reinstate slavery in Haiti and St. Domingue. Napoleon was never directly involved in the actual revolution as he never set foot in Haiti, as far as we know. His general that he sent, Leclerc, was in command of all forces sent to quell the independence movement. And he failed disastrously due to preparations by the revolutionary forces and great ability at guerrilla warfare.
You'll be disappointed. Louverture never fought Napoleon. In fact, the General sent to put down Louverture's rebellion captured him after a few weeks of fighting and sent him to France. His successor, Desallines did however successfully rebel against France a year later.
Bro I needed this today. It’s exhausting constantly trying to educate 🇺🇸 folks on y my country struggles. You did the right thing by telling the truth bro. Bout to follow u on all platforms 🇭🇹✊🏿😤
Haiti is my neighbor in Caribbean and I’m extremely hurt by this and the way Haitian people are treated. This tactic is similar to how they use student loans and credit cards to keep people poor.
This was really well put together!!! Through all of the tribulations Haitians have been put through, as a fellow Haitian myself, I am PROUD to say I am a Haitian!!! No one could ever take away the Strength of the Nation away from me! The most resilient group of people I know. L'Union Fait la Force🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
Fr, You might be the best talking head storyteller I have seen on the platform and I have been watching youtube for the past 12-13 years, you should be proud You are such a great storyteller, I don't even care about the drama you talk about, but I watch to take notes so I can get better at storytelling for my channel lmao
You're very well informed about different topics...I Love your content. Can you please dive deep into the Football world? Especially the Bayern and Mane story...
Napoleon also sent Polish mercenaries to help him quell the Haitian Revolution, but once the Polish people found out what exactly was going on (important that Poland was not free at the time) they decided that they weren’t going to help the French and instead helped the Haitians.
🙌🏾🔥 Bravo on this brilliant synopsis!! There’s an abundance of intricacies to dissect, but this is a phenomenal start and solid TLDR for short attention spans lol 💯❤️🇭🇹
the one who defeated and expelled the French army was the General Jean-Jacques Dessaline. Toussaint was captured through ruse and dies in prison in France. But I don't blame you for not knowing or confusing that. The international never talks nor celebrate Dessaline for some reason. Great topic.
He did mentioned that.... but Toussaint was a genius by all accounts... self taught how to both read and write... kicked the English out of Santo Domingo, then kicked the Spaniards out but got tricked by the French and had him executed... Dessalines was Toussaint right hand man and picked up the war banner and continued the fight
@@EazyHelper absolutely right 👍🏾. Toussaint was not executed tho, he died of sickness (most likely Pneumonia) in a cold cell at Fort de Joux in France. It always felt weird to me that Toussaint is so big and rightfully celebrated worldwide but Dessaline is very well ignored even though he was the one who actually defeated the Napoleonic forces. Maybe that's the reason why he gets ignored. 🤔 Or maybe I'm overthinking it cause I'm Haitian.
@@mikep11218 We do, stop lumping us together with the froggies. My country spends half of our whole history class on the stupid shit we did (my country in particular had no colonies, but we did much f-ed stuff to other europeans). 10 european countries had the idea to commit colonial atrocities and ruined the reputation of the other 38. Believe me, if i could delete but one thing from history, it would be the idea of colonialism.
This is really good man and informative thank you ! When I hear politicians call Haiti 💩 hole countries this brings a new perspective and makes me mad because they caused it
I always like your videos man before I even watch the entire storytelling because I know it'll be interesting as always. Hope the channel grows alot more🙌
Brooooo. Ive been watching some of your videos recently but this one I had read about a few weeks back. You hit the nail- subscribed and thank you for shedding light.
You are such a great narrator, and it's amazing that you cover a wide range of topics including grave ones like this. Keep up the good work, and I wish you even more growth. To the public, this video just goes to show you that no matter how angry you think you are at the injustices of this world, you're not nearly angry enough
US occupation of Haiti lasted damn near 20 years and extended further beyond that. Its one of the makn reasons why Haiti was led by Dictators from the 50s to the 80s. It is one of the most destructive things that happened to Haiti and alot of people still dont really understand that
