It would be so interesting to visit these people today, almost a decade after this was filmed, to see if they are still keeping clean. That's a show I'd enjoy watching.
I would imagine she was actually ill. Seeing the bacteria growing in a concentrated area and hearing it could actually kill her family is a lot different than seeing dirt and dust. The bacteria at that point was spread out and largely invisible to the naked eye.
Awwww, I LOVE this family! They are so happy, and grateful for the house clean! They are definitely worthy of Kim and Aggie's efforts. We all need a bit of help now and then, it's easy to get overwhelmed. I wish them all the best!
I think a big part of her being sick, or whatever that was, was the realization that her nonexistent cleaning was a major contributor in the illness (athsma) of her child. If she had been a cleaner person, or kept a cleaner home, she might have been able to prevent it. Not to mention the fact that Aggie said there's a 1 in 5 chance of someone dying from that one bacteria if they get sick from it. There's 5 people in her family. I would be sick, too.
It's the first time I've seen someone on the show do that. I can't blame her. A lot of people have queasy stomachs when it comes to gross stuff like bacteria. I hope she recovered.
I understand that it is at times.. It is easy for thing to kind of get away from you. But dear.. Sometimes you just have to get stuck in and do what you need to do. Right? Glad she has been keeping up with it since the clean. Well done ❤❤
I'm so glad this lady realize the severity of keeping a house clean and orderly. Infecting your loved ones, especially those with respiratory issues,is not worth the results of illness and possible death. If one has time to eat, and shit...you can make time to clean your home...for you,if alone, and your family, it's so worth it. Amen. God bless 🙏 the family on a better future.
There must not be any orthodontists or dentists in the UK. Everyone seems to have missing teeth, buck teeth, very crooked teeth...but no healthy teeth, at least among the muckier population.
I see some people saying that they know the people in the show (not just this one but also on other episodes) and the production paid them to be dirty. Now, I don't see how things can get THAT dirty in a matter of a few weeks, even in a few months. I used to not care much about my surroundings and (kind of) got dirty-ish... OK. It was dirty. But mine never got THAT dirty even in a ONE full year!!
Old habits are hard to break for some, but it is unfair to say that the kids will grow up to be the same, for that is not true. If that were the case every child would grow up to be alcoholics, addicts or abusers because their parents are the same. Maybe the parents will stay away from the pub and stay home---working, cleaning the house--us the Dad serious when he starts laughing whem Aggie is talking about the gerns in their house and what it can do to thrm?
Don't understand why thry do not show the daughter'bedroom--they only showed 2 bedrooms---they gave 3 kids?!!! Crazy---does she sleep in a closet?!!! I hope not!!!
I've seen some awful stuff, some worse than anything on some of these shows. You're right, there's no way all dirty up their houses like that in a few weeks. Did you see the young boy in the beginning, walking down the stairs sweeping one hand along the wall as he went, and the wall had a massive filthy streak on it?
I think it's just that when it's going gross in your house, sometimes you just don't really see it and you don't really know how dangerous it is for your health. I can understand that people that were not really aware of the real danger of the filth become disgusted by their home when they hear that it's actually dangerous, proofs with it.
as said before i used to live next door to these filthy reptiles, and this experience has had no life changing effect atall, there house is no different now then it was before this program helped, i feel sorry for the cleaners
@SanelaBBSK I heard it can also be a desease. But it would be strange that everybody in this family for exemple is sick! :) There is a desease, I dont recall the name, people accumulate things and can not throw away anything. They finish with their houses like a trash can! Anyway, I live in France and we also have a version of this program and I still have difficulties to believe that someone can live in such dirtness!!!!
I hate how over dramatic this woman is, acting like she is heaving and crying at the sight of the mold like she didn't walk past it sitting there every day for god knows how long.
i was at 35, howevr al ofus tht lived there did say tings(not to be nasty)bt to help especialy for ben wid asthma, tht div is a 1st class reptile slob and her hub, it aint kidz fault bt thy will grow to be the same, n sayn tings 2 her will not chnge a ting, whn i 1st mved to the area thy hd a party which we was invited, i seenn it ws dirty but i put it dwn the the fact thy had a party and kidz runin wild,until nxt day whn i sat on the loo 4 5hrs thrwing up and wel u knw food poisoning cmes 2mind
The mother seems more upset than the father---but maybe they will change their laxy ways---rake care if their chlidren and stop the drinking---stay away from the pub---the father gas done Lois screws or naybe their screws are totally missing!!!! I would nott want them for my neighbors unless they chnge their ways!!

Since I really don't know if you did in fact live next door to them or not, people can say anything on the YT. But I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt. Be that as it may, did you say something, or complain to the police, or the Dept. of Health & Welfare, or even Child's Services, (since you knew children lived there) or at least, be neighborly & offer to help yourself?

@Lannsaurus Yes the messiness is probably exaggerated, but the dirt has been there for years - that's not fake. And nobody really believes Kim and Aggie do all the cleaning
