how clearing my skin saves my self esteem (GRWM DEEP TALK) 

I can relate to the acne problems soooo much. My acne was so bad that I had people, random strangers, come to me and ask me if it was a disease and if it was contagious. I even developed a skin infection because the treatments some stupid ass doctors prescribed me were not the right ones for me and just made it all worse. My acne is gone now, but my face is covered in scars and I can barely look in the mirror too 😔

Ryan I'm so glad you talk about things like this. Because today's society is so heavy when it comes to you have to be look perfect and if you have one flaw or one pore on your face then you will be banished from society. The internet has us thinking that to be presentable you have be flawless in every way. Yet understand that our flaws are what make us beautiful. I'm alot more older and my skin is far from perfect. Yet I also take meds as well so that doesn't help. Yet I go outside and do what I have to do. I don't want to look like a doll, I just want to look like, Well me. I do very minimal things like eyeliner because it brings out the shape of my eye and mascara and I put lip gloss or lipstick. Yet I try not to do have cakey makeup. If anything a very little concealer and I'm good. Not to mention some nice skin care and sunscreen. I know I can't fight father time so I do everything to still show me. Not perfect just imperfectly me. I go out with confidence and a smile. I won't be everyone's cup of tea but that's ok because I love myself and all my imperfections. Once you learn how to live with who you are and don't worry about what everyone else thinks. You live a more happy and better life, dare I say a more free life. Now i think we all have something that bothers us and I'm no exception to the rule. I have one thing I am trying to fix and that is my hair issue from what happened to me when I was younger. Now I go to dermatologist who is helping so much more then the ones I seen when I was younger. Yet if he couldn't figure it out. I would still be me and would still be walking around the same way. I don't want to be one of these people that are chasing after youth in a bottle. Or the perfect remedy for porcelain or glass skin. I just want to be my real self. Or at least the best version of me. Yet we all do what makes us comfortable and helps our self-esteem. Yet when we let go and just say..Too heck with it, Just take me as I am. That's when we are our most beautiful both inside and out 😊

I’m the most insecure person when it comes to my skin/ face…. As an Asian, who is half Bangladeshi and half Chinese, I try to fit in both countries beauty standards, but I feel like I just can’t. Similarly, as the standard in Asia is to have paper white skin and to be sooo skinny, I’ve realised that everyone is beautiful in their own way and you shouldn’t drastically change it… I’m glad people are trying to emphasise on this more Als Ryan ur the best ♥🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍

What worked for me was probiotics- a high quality liquid refrigerated one. Before that for like 3 years I tried dermatologist, doctor, tried all kinds of skin care- nothing worked and made my skin worse.

Honestly, SKincare is my makeup, im tryna work on my skins overall health, tryna fade my scarring and hyperpigmentation and because i have PMLE my skin doesnt do so well in the sun.. so tryna find a good enough sunscreen that doesnt break me out, look white on my dark conplexion and doesnt make my face greasy cuz i have combination skin.. rn its dry as fk Kinryan, you look handsome without makeup aswell, u look healthy, and your cheeks look fuller 💛 i used to be insecure about my eyes and my dark skin and scarring all over my face, but im focusing on what it needs not what its not 😊

I used to have a lot of insecurities before. It improved around two or three years ago but now some insecurities are back and I'm not sure about the reason but I think it has something to do with modeling. I'm interested in that world but some modeling companies don't accept me because of my height or weight. I use to be too short and sometimes I'm a little too fat or too slim. So yeah I can relate. Oh I also have sensative skin and black spots on my face. A lot of people recommended products for me but it got worse.. . I used to feel so insecure bcz pple would ask me as to what happened to my face and all but now I've learnt to love me just the way I am

Hey, let me tell you something. Perfect doesn’t exist, anyone is perfect. We are all humans and it’s super normal if we have acne, pimples and skin problems, that is a good thing because it means that our body works and we should be thankful for that. Every person is unique, we are all diffrent but that doesn’t mean we are not all humans. We have only 1 life and we have to be thankful for what we have, for having a life, having food, water, a place to live. I mean, who cares about what others think, if you are good with yourself, people’s opinion it’s just nothing. Haters gonna hate, it’s just their job, they wanna make other people feel bad and insicure because they feel bad and insicure in first place. People listen to them, and they become insicure, they fell in hater’s trap. Even tho, i tell these things to you and also to myself, cause even if i don’t care about others, i still can’t feel confident, and I understand you so much. I think that every person is insecure in at least one part of their body. For example, I have a negative attitude towards my body, although according to others I personally don’t like being slim, so I go to the gym and dance to achieve my ideal. I try not to stress, but sometimes I get depressed when I look at K-pop stars and see their visuals. Oh how difficult it is to be human in the 21st century. P.S. You are very cute without makeup. My mom always told me to use a special kind of soap but I realized very fast that it dried out my skin a bit too much so I just decided to put it where my skin is the oiliest and put a lotion and sunscreen on it, but I’m still looking for a good sunscreen that is pretty lightweight and does not make my skin look oily

I am half white and half asian so I have been struggling w beauty standards cuz I don't fit european beauty standards at all, and neither asian. My whole childhood I wanted to be fully white like perfect pale skin, blonde w blue eyes yk, and felt so ugly. I was even embarrassed to go out w my asian mom. But w my mom side sometimes I felt uncomfortable cuz I was the only one who looked different (less asian). At school I was the Chinese looking kid and for me it was a negative thing. Even now I struggle w beauty standards, ik it's not that deep but it make me feel insecure.
