Season 2 ended with a major cliff hanger, the fight at the school, Ali Mills reaching out to Johnny Lawrence, Robby running away, and Miguel in critical condition. It made the wait for season 3 unbearable, but so worth it.
I’m thinking what could replicate a huge feeling like that? Season 3 was amazing, but it didn’t leave me with that big pit in my stomach like holy crap what just happened. It was more of a, ok I know what the plot will be going into season 4, the dojos will train and Terry Silver will enter the scene. Still exciting, but you’re not distressed in the dark.
With season 5’s announcement the other day, I finally can make this video. We have gotten hints from the big 3 that there could be 6 seasons of Cobra Kai, but without confirmation of a season going beyond the 4th, I just wasn’t sure if this theory would make much sense if that was the ending. With season 5, there’s more merit to this. Now, I have two theories as to How Cobra Kai Season 4 will end, so let’s get on with this video.
There are two possibilities for the ending to Season 4, right, Cobra Kai either wins or loses. Someone will be kicked out of the valley, and for this season to end with us on the edges of our seats, more than season 3, I think we’ll have get Cobra Kai winning. It’ll be the ultimate finale, how will the valley look in season 5 with all these Cobra Kai dojos opening back up? What will Johnny and Daniel do to get their lives back after being kicked out? What if Johnny and Daniel break their friendship at the end and Cobra Kai wins, this would be the ultimate ending in favour of John Kreese and Terry Silver. How could the boys return with their beaten students? Could Mike Barnes come in to help Johnny Lawrence and perhaps Daniel will go to Julie Pearce? Or vice versa. Imagine that. That’s a different video for a different time, but I will say that this type of empire strikes back ending which favours the bad boys could leave us fans in the most bewildered state of what just happened and what will happen now in season 5.
The other alternative, is that Johnny and Daniel’s dojo win the all valley tournament, but Terry Silver doesn’t leave the valley, and neither does John Kreese. Silver has buying power, this means he could very well already own many things in the Valley that Daniel may not be aware of. Like the land his auto dealership is sitting on, which was jokingly mentioned by John Hurwitz who has been known to just have some fun with the fans so maybe he was pulling my leg, maybe he wasn’t. At the end of the day, I don’t think Terry Silver would play fair, I think if Cobra Kai lost again, which I doubt would happen this time, because twice would just be unbelievable, I think he’d make it unbearable for Daniel to live in the Valley. It would be Karate Kid 3 all over again, with some grown terror harassing Daniel, Mike Barnes 2.0.
Those are the two ways i could see it ending, however the latter just doesn’t seem realistic. I really believe Cobra Kai will win, and I think we could see some of the most intense fights this season. Can you see Silver losing to Daniel again? I just don’t think they would write the story with the same happy ending we saw in Karate Kid 3, and for this reason, I think Silver and Kreese will win, and maybe we’ll even get a 2 on 2 fight scene between Silver Kreese vs Johnny and Daniel.
