My Mother admired the Queen for her grace and dignity. She was one of my mother’s heroes. My Mom passed away six months ago. Now we have lost the Queen in the same year. I love you Mom. Truly a great generation they both belonged to.

It feels weird changing from one president to another every 4 or 8 years, it's always the end of an era, even if a brief one. Now imagine having the same Head of State for your entire life and one day she's just not there anymore. I have no bounds with the UK, but I liked the "pop figure" the Queen represented worldwide. She was a constant in all of our lives, and now she's no more. It's really off-putting.

Queen Elizabeth was already Queen for twelve years before I was born. Throught my life the only constant was the Queen and without knowing I took her for granted. I believed she would simply be there for ever. Now we have lost her, the nation feels lost and unsure of the future. Without even seeing her, the impact she had on my life is only now coming to light. The feeling of loss and sadness is something I could not have anticipated. She once said grief was the price of loving. I hope she knew how much the nation loved her.

I briefly watched a life in review clip, and it was mostly her just celebrating birthdays and other occasions. Nice work if you can get it.

I was working at this moment listening to the radio about the RF going to Balmoral and I was wondering if she will make it to the end of the year. Just prior the announcment, due to a poor signal, for 30 minutes I listened to a recording of something else. When I returned to the radio station at 7PM they was not doing the top of the hour news like normal but speaking about us now have a new King. I stopped right away what I was doing in shock and just listened as it became clearer she had died. I stopped working and ran, called my dad and let him listen to the news. Got goosebumps and really moved and sadened. Likely we will all remember where we was and what we was doing when we heard this news. RIP xx

@@fahid3342 her sevice to the people is done in secret to prevent political conflicts, with her influence over many countries she has prevented the UK multiple times from economic and political crisis and is the reason the UK stands tall today until covid kicked in of course. She fights for the peoples rights every week in her meatings with the prime minister and has done for 70 years. It is a shame that people will not acknowledge this and think instead that she sits on her throne all day when she really does not.

I knew it wouldn't be long when I saw she inaugurated PM Truss at Balmoral, Walking stick in hand. Bruising from iv and and edema in one leg suggests to me she'd been on blood thinners and likely had vascular congestion, which happens a lot as mobility decreases. That she stood at all is quite amazing, and possibly the reason she wore out quickly after. But better a quick passing than to spend weeks in the twilight of morphine.

For the majority of Britons she's the only head of state we've known. Prime ministers come and go every few years although 2022 was an exception. Things like our coinage and stamps changing to show the head of King Charles will take a bit of getting used to. I get the impression she'd been in poor health for some time; she rarely cancelled engagements. Thankfully her passing was peaceful and she didn't succumb to a degenerative disorder. The direction of her life changed as a result of the abdication crisis; that must have been a lot to deal with for a ten year old child.

I was watching the news after being informed of her being ill by my Dad, and after backwards forwards talks with correspondents, who identified the grim expressions of the Royal Family going to Balmoral and the discussions between MPs, there was brief silence. The presenter then broke the news and the TV remote slipped from my hand. The Queen was (and still is) a key part of British identity, the true heart and soul of the country and a humble figurehead who was a voice of reason and wisdom in troubled times. To lose someone that important is just... unimaginable, and even now it feels strange discussing it. Regardless, Rest In Peace Her Majesty the Queen, you've done so much that we cannot repay. I hope that King Charles can fill the boots and bear the crown of arguably the best Monarch in British History.

Even the skies are weeping in sorrow on the day of her death. Saddest moment ever for Britain and only a year and 5 months after Prince Philip. I'm no Brit, but the fact that Queen Elisabeth is no longer is of great concern to me as continental European. Another constant is gone.
