It’s new guitar day!! I know, who needs another guitar? Well, me because, I just can help it.
This one however, is different and it is definitely been missing from my collection, my musical toolbox if you will. It just does stuff and plays like non of my other guitars.

This is the first guitar that I ever fell in love with. I tried nice Epiphones and Mexican Fenders, but couldn't find one I really connected with and sold them all on. Then one day I picked up a Juno off the wall at a Guitar Center and just got it. This is a great beginner guitar (if you have the means) because there are no distractions. It's also well-appointed, fun to play, stays in tune, and a lot cheaper than a US-made Fender or Gibson, while being set up and built just as well. The locking tuners alone are a game changer.

Hi, just seen this and thank you. One question though… you say the fingerboard is ebony but it doesn’t look anything like ebony, more Indo Laurel or whatever they call the new stuff. Every ebony board I’ve ever had has been dark to black. Can you explain plse? Subbed (Australia)

Harmony & Cort guitars must have been bought up by another company in recent years, have they? In the 80's Harmony & Cort were junk guitars sold in the Sears Christmas Wish Book. They came in an unmarked triangle box with copper string, no intonation what-so-ever & no truss rod. The brand looks like it's been reinvented a little. Hey Pete, Late to the party here. Ive been looking for a little inspiration and have narrowed my choices to a Harmony Jupiter and either a Rivolta P90 Combata or the Mondo Mondota. I know you have played them all and was curious on your thoughts. The Rivoltas seem more interesting looking, but something about the simplicity and quality of the Harmony is intriguing. Just bedroom playing and gonna replace a Nash Strat. Glad to find your channel in addition to the Andertons.

When I was a teenager, my friend got a Harmony Les Paul studio copy for Christmas from the Sears catalog. It sounded amazing. Super low action, pickups were warm, great neck. It sounded so good that when another friend (who had just graduated from Berkelee College of music in Boston) played it, he BEGGED him to sell it to him. He said it played and sounded like magic.

Aesthetically not my cup of tea. Looks like a malnourished / deformed Les Paul - almost toy like and “plasticy”. The P90s, however sound decent with the exception of the “muddy” position which makes me wonder what they were thinking. Tasteful playing as usual Pete!

Just out of curiosity how is the intonation and how well does this guitar stay in turn? I remember Harmony guitars were always infamous for intonation and tuning issues? They look like they've stepped up their game. Hard to find a lot of reviews for these.

2 things giving me anxiety. Guitars by the window and plants on said window over said guitars!! Lol. P.S. I bought an old Harmony at a flea market and played it for like 4 hrs that night super bad set up and all. The next day brought it to the shop to show my boy there and use his tools to do a set up and guess who was standing there? The actual owner of the guitar who had a list with pictures of his guitar collection to post at pawn shops that his wife put out by the garbage in a spiteful move while he was at work. When I opened the guitar case he teared up and my stomach dropped but how could I with good conscience not hand it over. He offered to pay me back the money I put out but, After thumbing through the list of guitars and amps that Cword wife robbed him of I felt obligated to hand it over free and clear. I told him to save it for the lawyer to ruin that hellhound in court! He also lost a early 60s les Paul and 2 early 70s strats. 🤣

Eastwood Guitars still makes some of the old Harmony designs branded as Airline. They make a very similar model to this called the Airline H44

I thought I'd be hesitant about a guitar that only has a volume knob and pickup selector switch, but the Push/Pull control really dials in a sweet tone! Suggested video series title: "Peter Honoré's Sporadic Droppings" 😂 Keep up the great work, I love your videos and I love your playing even more!

Youhouuu DP, besides being a super guitar player and gear monster, your skills and musicality comes out so clearly when you do your loops. So spot on the way you create. Since request are a Thing in your channel, can you do another loop “training” video? Using your Ditto. Also, please show us your guitar collection and the story’s behind them beauties. The blue strat I know, the purple VS teleconference course as well, but I’m love to hear road stories of your time with Tom tones playing trex pedals or your Martin stories. Take care

Hi, Pete. Love that rose finish! Saw it in person on a Harmony rebel and really loved it. I assume the Juno is a little neck heavy. Does that bother you at all? Or are you not worried about that since you sit and play a lot? Would love to hear your thoughts since I've been considering this guitar for a while. Thanks and take care.
