Janusz Szeremeta wants to be a Zaporizhian Cossack. He first came to Zaporizhia from his native Poland in 2014. That’s when he discovered the Zaporizhian Cossacks and started to frequent the Zaporizhian Sich, the historical center of the Cossacks. Following his discovery, Janusz has often returned to the region in order to train with a group of Cossacks. He says the experience changed his life. Now he wants to give something back to the Zaporizhian Cossacks.

Unfortunately, Janusz died in the fight against the Russian occupiers. He and Krzysztof Tyfel died on December 4, 2022 at the front in Ukraine. Both served in the International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Honor to Their Memory, glory to the Heroes, death to the invaders!

Cossacks and native Texans have a lot in common, which grows from faith in God-the only real freedom from the Adversary who is the source of all tyranny and evil. We must learn from the deception and lawlessness that our closet Communist President (FDR) and Winston Churchill accomplished when they fooled good Christians into fighting each other rather than fighting godless COMMUNISTS WHO HAD ALREADY KILLED TEN TIMES MORE INNOCENT FAITHFUL JEWS AND CHRISTIANS THAN NAZIS EVER WOULD, before Hitler was even elected to fight Communism...OR...we will suffer the same evils AGAIN! Foolishly. Leftist/Marxist/communist LAWLESSNESS is at work more at this very moment than ever before...and if we don’t choose to oppose evil as God commands, with good as much as possible...but with harsh CONSTITUTIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT THAT INCLUDES HANGING THE ENEMIES OF OUR CONSTITUTION WHO ARE IN PUBLIC OFFICE, we don’t deserve the freedoms our fathers bled and died to provide for us!!! I love this guy. Destroy foolish ignorance with love for Truth: In 1945, the “Christian” allies foolishly turned the Christian Cossacks over to the Soviet Union after WWII at the massacre of Lienz (after supporting godless Communism in that war), which makes my blood boil! This is what happens when faithful men who obey God and have no desire to manipulate others (as all godless political Marxists always do) fail to obey God and oppose evil, which never sleeps, by maintaining political authority through godly faithfulness...as we are commanded by God! Every evil result in history beginning with Cain’s murder of his own brother (we are ALL brothers) grew from rebellion against Our Creator and His Word/TaNaKh. Even the Jews have rejected Torah to follow Talmudic Communism, which God rewarded as He promised in Dt28... IF we have learned ANYTHING through all this evil, it is that we can and must confess these mistakes and repent, and be restored to fellowship with our Creator! Only when we understand this can we see the purpose of praying for our enemies, because we are NOT AT WAR WITH MEN, BUT SATAN, WHO TRIES TO DECEIVE ALL MEN TO FOLLOW REPROBATE FLESH AND CARNAL ANIMAL INSTINCTS...RATHER THAN YHVH, the Most High, who created us for righteousness and walk in the Light of Truth, set apart unto Him as adopted children in the House and Family of God! It’s all about Him...and He is coming for His people soon. Be ready...cleansed by His Word, forgiveness and repentance! ⚔️ 📖 🕎 🍷 ❤️ 🥖 ✝️ 📖 ⚔️

In the history of the past a Cossack volunteered for service in the Zaporozhian army he was apprenticed for 3 years usually from the age of 16 much younger lads were apprenticed to a trade of 7 years with the 3 years in all . The Zaporozhian Cossacks had to be fit and able to do long marches the weapons training that all agricultural implements could be turned into a weapon a sickle , a rake and even a broom all Cossacks needed to learn how to swim and navigate by river or sea by boat or ship. The favourite ship was called a chaika with oars up to 30 two Cossacks per oar and housed up to 80 Cossacks with 16 falconets cannons and Cossacks were first to use submarine warfare I liked to know how it looked or maybe they used snorkels a hollowed out wood for breathing never the less they were prized fighters of the time .

Cossacks were not only frontiersmen living in the region, many had come from surrounding countries and empires, escaping serfdom to live free in the steppes... You can be anyone from anywhere, and become a cossack by embracing those values and expressing them in your life. You don't pretend to be something, you become a different person by incorporating the lifestyle and values into who you are. And you can strive to be a cossack wherever you live now. I don't know when I'll visit Ukraine again, but I'm a cossack here and now.

I hear you! I recently found out my family name is considered Cossack. My surname is Baleka (sometimes spelled Balyka). Both variants are in the 1649 Zaporozhian Cossack register. My great grandmother also came from a Cossack line. Maiden name Barvinok. As in Ivan Barvinok. Time to head to Ukraine brothers! :)

I can attest to his transformation by looking at his (somewhat adopted) roots. There's a very specific reason ancestors are worshipped and revered the world over. Not so much in the West, or Christianity, but it still happens. Once you can find a way to honor your forefathers & mothers, you will find an inexhaustible source of strength and help. This I can say with all sincerity and honesty. It may sound strange, but once you experience it, it's life changing.

@K. Schmid Hussars are not dead. We have in Poland around 200 hussars :) It seems you don't know anything about hussars. Their honor, faith, mental power, years of trainings, special trained horses (1 horse costed 66kg of silver, equals 1 village). Please read something about hussars, than write. It was heavily difficult to gather even one company. There are many of examples in the history where 100 hussars defeated couple of thousand of enemy troops, for example battle of Kutyszce. Two incomplete Hussar banners of the Polish forces operating in Ukraine, caught up with Russian retreating Ukrainian army under Vasyl Szeremietiew. 140 Polish horsemen devastated 3500 cavalry and Cossack infantry, gaining an enemy stock. In this encounter Hussars did not suffer any losses. Even with with the Russians counting 25: 1. So keep your lifestyle, and accept the facts ;) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CyaX0kOa-MM.html&ab_channel=AndrzejMalczak

@K. Schmid And why I have the impression you disrespect hussars? The whole world respect them, but of course some individuals from some nations cannot? I respect Cossacs, because they were - as I mentioned - worthy opponents, skillful and we fought many times side by side. Why some people are so insecured? Turks were defeated by hussars many times and despite this they always respected us. But of course some nations can't get over the fact they were "brave" slaughtering innocent woman and child... Really honorable.
