My daughter died aged 5 very suddenly and unexpectedly. It hurts every day more than I can ever express, but it gives me some measure of comfort as I have always believed an angel came and got her that night and she was not alone and afraid as she passed. When I wasn't there, God was and I am thankful for that.

I respect Pastor Laurie but he really only proved hell exists he didn't nor could he prove it's eternal as far as the story of Lazarus many scholars believe it's only a parable even one's that believe in an eternal hell, if hell is eternal how come there is so little written about the afterlife in the old testament eternal hell was used to terrify people into believing in God the reason we don't hear a hell fire and brimstone sermon is because the church has had 2000 yrs of it already

The fact that God allows you to go to Hell shows how great His love IS. He loves you enough to create you as a human being, which means you have a free will. He respects the decision that you make. God can't love a robot.

But sometimes it is difficult to make people realize that the way to heaven is Jesus alone through faith alone, because most of the people who are not Christian think they are good and calling them sinner is unacceptable. So they don't think they will go to hell. Also, thinking and knowing that God is love, just love; no knowledge about that God is also holy, righteous, just...and also wrath, is dangerous.

The reason God sends unrepentant sinful people to hell is because God takes sin very, very seriously. He has given us the gift of his son and when we reject that gift, we send ourselves to hell. God puts us where we ourselves have chosen to go.

This hot button issues series is wonderful. I think about hell more than I should as I have NO family members who are saved…. and 2 little grandchildren who are not being raised to believe in Jesus. My heart is broken… do we forget about our loved ones when we are with Jesus, and they are not ?
That's what people have speculated as there are no tears but keep praying for them! I'm in the same boat and just put all your trust in God's ability not theirs. Someone I watch said that and that's what we gotta hold onto.
We are called to pray for our loved ones. God is able. Nothing is impossible with God. It's in God's timing, not ours. Ours is to pray (I believe faithfully), give it to God, believe, and know God can do it, and trust God enough to let go and let God.
People choose Hell in their rejection of God's mercy poured out thru the sacrificial death and atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross He is not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance. Yes, God's will is not always done. He allows people to reject Him and they must also accept the consequences.

What really cracks me up are the people that spell hell because they think it is a cuss word. It is a literal place. Jesus was not cussing when he said the word hell. God doesn’t send anyone there people send themselves there by rejecting so great a salvation. because of God‘s love, he came in the flesh and died for every single human being to be able to repent of their sin and, to receive his spirit, by default. Everyone is born a sinner and must come to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. Everyone has fallen short of God‘s glory.

Christian Universalism is a growing teaching that I have come to accept after spending years studying this subject. God says He desires the salvation of all, He never says He cannot save people after they die, and He says He will do ALL that He desires, which He already said, He desires and wills that all of us will be saved. Jesus said that He is the good shepherd that will never stop seeking even one single lost person until we are all found!
God created heavens and Earth with laws of physics, any people violate laws of physics they suffer the consequences, people decide for themselves if they're going to heaven or hell.

Why did I get saved? I was 9 years old and heard a hell and brimstone preacher who described how terrible hell is, that hell was made for the devil and fallen angels, and that God loves us so much He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins so we can go to heaven. All we have to do is accept Jesus to live inside our hearts. Preacher also said we had to profess Jesus in front of others. So I got saved that day. God's grace. That church gave out free cookies and fruit punch to any child who went to church with or without their parents! My parents never went to church but I went to get the cookies and punch.

What if there is no eternally burning hell? Would you have still accepted? If your goal for believing in Jesus is so you don't burn forever, then you have accepted christ under false pretenses. A god that burns people forever IS NOT the true God. These preachers are false preachers

@@princesssweetpea9205 I used a laughing emoji because I initially only went to church for the cookies and Kool aid. Once I was saved The Holy Spirit dwelled inside me. We moved far away 2 weeks after I got saved and I never saw any of those church people again but I read the small Gideon's New Testament they had given me in KJV. The Holy Spirit helped me understand the Old English in it. God's timing is always perfect. The minute a believer dies their spirit goes to be with the Lord. Then at rapture time they get a new body. Hallelujah and maranatha.
God made the provision for all to go to Heaven. People send themselves to Hell when they refuse to accept Jesus and the truth of God's provision First Cor. 15:1-4

Some cld say it's not free will cos u actually feel if u want to be in heaven then u have no other choice than to choose God, how is that free will. There is no eternal suffering in hell. The hell he speaks of, is the second death. Which just also happens to be a lake of fire. It‘s a lake of destruction. No of renewal and destruction ad infinitum. You get thrown in there, and you die. You cease to exist.
That’s not what the Bible says. We believe what the Bible says. We are eternal beings & when we die we will either go to hell & suffer for eternity or heaven.

I think this video had some very loose ramifications for the afterlife. This is directly because of the Bible verse Ecclesiastes 9:5 unless their was a figurative transcription that was SUPPOSED to be transcribed in that exact sense. Also ... what about people who falsely proclaim that they are "Christians" WITHOUT adhering to orthodox biblical doctrines as GOD would want? I have been readily exposed to supposed "Christians" like that on a daily (or weekly) basis, and I would NEVER HEAR THE END OF THEIR IRRESPONSIBLE CONDUCT in regards to THE BIBLE'S CORRECT TEACHING !! *(See Matthew 7:14)* I am glad that I am one of the very few people that probably WILL be going to Heaven ! oops, hell fir was put out ages ago. Gehenna is gone. You may be referring to the Lake of Fire? It is never called hell. And iit is not eternal. It is corrective.
I don’t believe God sends unrepentant people to “ eternal torment”. Not only does that go against everything we are taught about His character…. it would be pointless. All the verses that seem to be saying eternity in hell fire I believe are euphemisms and hyperbole. The truth is that the wages of sin is DEATH. Not be supernaturally kept alive to be tortured. Scholars have long believe there are a few different ways to view the doctrine of hell. Annihilation of one’s existence seems to be the strongest in my opinion.
Hell is real, the torment is eternal , and the way to understand it is by reading all the other parts of the Bible that give us a composite picture of what hell is, instead of listening to people who don't know God or believe God's word the Bible.

Also… punishment brings about results. It isn’t frivolous. There would be no reason to punish eternally. Also….How would that be “loving my enemy “?? Jesus doesn’t change just because we die.

I dont think he does, i think the person ceases to exist. If u read a lot about what Jesus says about hell, theyre Hebrew idioms. We as a church need to start reading the bible with a Hebrew mindset, not a Greek- this is what has made the church misinterpret many scriptures. Who has eternal life? Those who trust in Jesus. If you dont, you dont have eternal life- therefore cant be possible to live forever in a place called hell without Jesus

the Bible does NOT say that hell is forever... that is not what the Bible says in its original language of Hebrew, greek and Aramaic. All sinners and demons will be destroyed when hell is thrown into the lake of fire.

GOD is ALL authority. HE is ALL sovereign. GOD never sends people to hell. It’s people’s choices! Just like GOD never threw out Adam and Eve from garden of Eden!
Greg Laurie is as misinformed about Hell as J.I Packer whom Laurie quotes several times. J.I. Packer was a Calvinist who taught "Eternal Conscious Torment" of the lost. The lost, according to Calvinists, are anyone who God did not elect from the foundation of the world. Jesus said few find the way to life, therefore, according to Calvinists, God created most to eventually live in eternal conscious torment.
This guy is just the Worst Pastor ever! It's like he hasn't even read the bible. You do not suffer in Hell for Eternity. Nor is there "fire and brimstone" in Hell. Hell is in complete cooperation with God and Heaven. Hell is not the place where "truly" evil people go to be punished in the first place. It's the place where those who are not quite good enough to get into Heaven, but are not evil or bad people necessarily. More like in the middle of good and evil. Not making a choice. Besides, evil is necessary for good to exist, just as good is necessary for evil to exist in this universe. They are different sides of the same coin. So evil is in itself a necessary function of this world. A "necessary" evil, and all part of God's plan. And Satan not a bad guy after all.
A God who would supernaturally keep you alive for eternity to torment you is what Satan would do, so this heresy, which has been taught in many churches, is totally unscriptural.
