Tbh I don't think it's entirely on him. Granted what he did was incredibly scummy, however Optic had the opportunity to back the other players on the team and try and try again next tournament with a replacement. Instead they chose to drop the team immediately after the scandal and pretty much stranded the players abroad with no financial support in a foreign country until their pre-scheduled flights home. They denied both the team and the Indian scene its chance for redemption and to prove itself.

They were disqualified and the cheat damaged the brand. So they are trying to distance the brand from word.exe .

That "haivan" guy was also a cheater and a blatant one too. I have played few matches with him on community servers and had my profile signed by all the optic india players. People who knew them closely would often callout forsaken and haivan as cheaters.

Antidote is now one of the best valorant player in asia region with his team ranking at #3 in asia pacific region, marzil is still in his csgo competitive scene and doing good, haivaan is also doing great in valorant now. To be fair, I've played with and against really good Indian ayers who were just hanging out in SEA region. I presume you guys have your own dedicated server, hence the scene, whereas in SEA and OCE, we mostly go casual and we're more likely to encounter Chinese kids hacking rather than Indians or any other nationality in SEA doing the same. I'm not expecting to see the rise of ASEAN CS:GO scene very soon but I sure am hoping that the Indian CS:GO scene gets better from here on out. Cheers maye
