Maddie is a gorgeous girl with such a talent and heart of gold. My children and so many people look up to her. She has great future and great career ahead.
i honestly think sia saved maddie from going off the deep end Seeing how stressed she would get on the show dance moms at such a young age, and how much she strived for people's approval and for everything to be perfect I really think sia helped her loosen up and see that its not the end of the world if something isnt perfect. i love seeing how much shes bloomed and become outgoing. and that she got away from abbys short leash.

They have a six year contract so I’m guessing they didn’t want to pay money or something so it all made sense. They left in season 6 so they were basically waiting for their contract to end.

No I watched her in Sia videos without knowing her name and loved her as 'that girl from chandelier' it was only after one of my friends told me who she was and introduced me to Dance Moms that I found out her name...
She's so cute 😆 She does deserve her success like she obviously works super hard and is where she is because of that drive! Hopefully she stays lovely and the industry doesn't turn her into something else or turn her to drugs etc.
I am proud of Maddie for growing and realizing that you can have imperfections That can really weigh you down in the long run. I hope she also realizes that you can't always control everything. That is one of what I call "energy wasters" trying to control things you can't. Keep dancing but MOST importantly keep being happy.
Maddie is not a dance prodigy there is nothing special at all about her dancing she is not naturally talented she is easy to beat when it comes to dancing she is beatable there are a lot of dancers that maddie just can't beat she does not need to get mad or upset every time she does not win

I agree actually. Maddie is extremely talented and a great person, I'm not hating on her at all, but I just don't think prodigy is the right word. It just makes me sad when people make her out to be more talented than Sophia Lucia or Tate McRae just because she's more famous and well-known. If any dancer at Maddie's level is a prodigy, then that list just goes on and on and on. I think words like that should be reserved for the people who are really at the top.
For people who say she's not a prodigy, it's more than just technical ability. I think she has great technicality, but I'm not a dancer, so I'm not sure. But being a so-called prodigy is about the whole package. I'm from a musical side of the arts, and you ask any musician, they would prefer to have someone put their heart and soul into something and make mistakes, rather than be technically proficient, but lack that emotion. The other thing is she has grown so much in 6 years what it may take some people 20 years to get to that confidence and mind set. Now, she could have been coached, but I doubt it. Of course, when she becomes an adult, she could go the way of Lindsey Lohan, LOL, but she sounds pretty stable for now, and that's a rare thing.

i started dancing at 3 years old and i binge watched every season of dance moms last year and maddie (plus kalani😂🤗) was my FAVORITE. i now practice every single day because maddie is such an inspiration. YES YOU WERE THE BEST. i have your book and it’s my fav. you are AMAZING. i want to be as good as you. my biggest dream is to meet you maddie. i’m coming to la sometime in july this summer. hopefully i run into you.🤞 love you 😘

everyone, she is a CELEBRITY not a PRODIGY. Being famous and having success doesn't mean she's a prodigy, even if she's amazing. She got famous because of dance moms and she doesn't have some extraordinary talent either, even though she's great

I was surprised to see the amount of Expression being allowed on the face when I first saw the "Chandelier" music video. I've seen many forms of dance in my life, but the scrutiny for being screamed at for showing emotions on my face scarred me for life. I'm glad they eliminated it from routines permanently because I always felt it was a representation of the abusive nature of the dance world itself
Maddie is a very talented dancer. She is not a prodigy. She is simply a very talented competitive dancer. She has not danced in a real company. Just because she is famous does not mean shes a prodigy.

I also think that Abby broke Maddie in a certain way as well. It was just a different type of abuse then what Chloe endured. megzluvzmakeup No, a prodigy is someone who has a natural talent for something. Maddie even admits to having 0 natural talent. I ADORE Mads, but being an amazing dancer doesn't make you a prodigy. Maddie can handle the fact that their are dancers better than her and that she's not a prodigy, so why can't her fans? It's not an insult to say she isn't a prodigy. She works hard and is a lovely dancer and young lady. It just gets old to see reporters and such throwing around the term "prodigy" like everyone who was ever above average is automatically a prodigy. That's not how it works.
She isn't a dance prodigy, to me. And, you aren't a prodigy just because you have a natural talent. You can be beyond your age with commitment like Sophia Lucia. It just depends how you look at it, and being a prodigy sometimes isn't necassarily a good thing. It makes you hard to relate to, and sometimes you just want to be normal. Being above average can put you in insufferable situations and feel like you'll never have a challenge. Maddie isn't a particular quality in my eyes, she's mediocre compared to most real dancers. Maddie's evolving into a variety entertainer in modelling, acting, interviews, youtube, carpets, designing, author, on tour, premiers, everything. She'll have no time for dancing, she's no prodigy because she's so busy and booked these days. Dancing will be her last priority with all these jobs even if she still does it which i know she does. Maddie has no different or unique qualities, anyway. She doesn't have mastery skill, and there are millions better then her.
I'm very very happy for her and her success but in a way i feel a little bad for her. she is 14 and she is already working, facing not only fun moments but also stress, pressure and she is exposed to criticism having to defend herself for in front of a lot of people she doesn't even know. Kids should be kids. I really wish for her that being famous at a young age doesn't break her.

"Prodigy" seriously? She's an amazing dancer, definitely above average but that doesn't automatically make you a prodigy. If anyone actually thinks she's a prodigy should look at an actual prodigy (Sophia Lucia and Elliana Walmsley for example)
+Sophie Lillie I commented this above and commenting again. Maddie is outstanding dancer, not everyone can dance and do performances like Maddie can. She stands out any stage, any show. As for Elliana and Sophia-dancers like them are everywhere. Nothing special or WOW moment. As being said by many, there are tons and tons dancers around with equal or much better technique and dancing as Sophia's: every Club Dance dancer, Avery, Tate, Briar Nolet, Kaylee Quinn, Brynn Rumfallo, etc. the only thing Sophia differs from others is her 55 pirouettes record, but then again pirouettes doesn't make someone best dancer and especially a prodigy. In this case everyone would be a prodigy. It was mentioned Misty Copeland does 20-30 pirouettes and so are hundreds outstanding dancers teens or adults, who don't need pirouettes records to be stunningly good. Just a fact. Butthurt people can get over it. Yawn

Maddies dancing is average and I see that everyday, just because she can do more than one style doesn't automatically make her a prodigy. She is now hired by great choreographers like Marko Panzik, Brian Friedman, Mark Meismer etc, to assist them on masterclasses and teach others. She is a professional dancer now. You are not qualified or someone important to talk about someone's technique or flexibility, neither am I, so we just listen to those dance experts who are in awe with her beautiful dancing. And one more, we have all seen Maddie's dancing in different videos, workshops, on her tour in Australia, on classes after she left dance moms and her flexibility, technique, body control is stunning. Only blind or fool can't see that. Say whatever you want, but in the end of the day, you are the one bitter behind the screen, while Maddie is getting multiple compliments and job requests from dance pros and the whole industry and earning millions for it. And last but not least, Elliana or Sophia are not prodigies no matter how many times you say it. Now keep your sarcasm in your life and stop attacking people and insulting great dancers who are thousand times more accomplished than you will ever be. What a joke you are.

A prodigy is someone who can do a thing without practice and are born with a talent. Maddie isn't a prodigy. She practiced her butt off.She didn't gain her amazing talents immediately like prodigys do. I'm not saying she isn't awesome I'm just saying she isn't a prodigy. That makes her even more awesome cause that means she has the passion for dance and will practice forver if she has to.
