This is what UK police were doing last year. Its only when all of the charges against people were classed as nonsence that all these cases were dropped and police stopped arresting people for living a normal life. Australia is following the same plan just a year later and seem to be a bit stricter

Their argument would be they were just doing their job as set out by the directives of the Chief Health Officer and as instructed by the State Government and their superiors in the police force. Often when you call the police bluff by insisting the matter goes to court rather than just meekly submitting and paying a fine the matter gets dismissed before it ever sees the inside of the court house. Just my experience when dealing with police.

I learnt the hard way they are not your friend. You're brought up as a kid to trust them and that if you're ever in trouble go to them. You carry that until you come across them on the receiving end. Mine was minor regulatory offence, but they absolutely stitched me up misrepresenting what I stated and made a show at court for dramatic effect. Everyone must learn their rights and provide the minimum legally required details or they WILL use anything you say against you. It was a shocking lesson to learn. Getting you for anything really is a game to them. A sport.

@@theleastofhisbrothers tbh ive been arrested before and stopped by police numerous of times theres been too many times where they stop and searched me for no good reason but theres also been a few times where they was reasonable (im from the uk) so its a bit different but i see too many videos of police around the world abusing their powers, its happened here too with certain people i know and also with A LOT of uk rappers too... it honestly gets me heated, i also realised that police like to jump to conclusions a lot like when i got arrested in the booking office they assumed that the phone i had on me was stolen without even talking to me or confirming with me anythng it got me so heated.. police forget they are supposed to be serving us not the other way round..

and altough i was a 'suspect' its innocent until proven guilty and i was not charged for any of my arrests (nfa)
