Yes! China doesn't have this problem, there you get fines &/or jail just for spitting on the public street or walkway! I'm in the US & only going by what I've heard. Could be they've been raised to respect other peoples property
Could not agree with you more. In much of Europe and virtually all of North America 'graffiti' has overtaken our visual landscape. Maybe hard labor for the person who is caught? (That's what they do in Singapore, and it's pretty darn clean.)

Hi Ryan, in our village in the south west of England our red telephone box is used for the defibrillator and a mini library. When we go home, from South of France, I will check to see who's initials are on it. It is horrible when people deface historical buildings. Hope all goes well tomorrow with the tyre. I 100% agree with you regarding the vandalism. Anyone living where there are amazing historic buildings should be ashamed defacing them. I was always intrigued with British telephone boxes for some reason, they do look cool as a display piece. Thanks for sharing Ryan.
The K6 (more famously known as the Jubilee box) was designed by Sir Giles Scott and was introduced in 1936. This became the standard model phonebox and appeared throughout the entire country. It was not considered outdated until the 1960s. Both the K2 and K6's were replaced in the 1980s by modern blue phone boxes, but they were re-replaced by the K6's as part of the historical renovation of London. They are distinguishable from the earlier K2s which has equally spaced windows panes - whereas the K6 has the difference sized panes.

This was a very good video so no need for apologies. Loved your dad’s story about the phone box. I love them and so nice that you have that bit of British history. A British family who lives near me in New Hope, Pa has one from London which they restored and it sits in their garden as well. It is very sad to see people vandalize historic buildings. Here in the states, vandalism in cities is called graffiti and spray cans of paint are used. Thank goodness these buildings in France were spared the paint. There needs to be more people like you spreading the word about respecting the gorgeous historic monuments around the world. xx

I agree with you being very annoyed about graffiti of any kind Ryan. Thank goodness it was only scratching and not paint as that always looks so ugly. We enjoyed your video and it was nice to see your Dad again but so sorry that you had a good and bad eventful day but the positives that you are ok, your car will be ok and you got to visit with your parents was the upside. Loved seeing the little French town with some amazing buildings and we noticed just how tidy the streets were with no litter, so well done to that community.
What a beautiful village and château. I’d love to know who built it and past events that happened there. The graffiti is upsetting, in the US it would have been spray painted tagging.

Please never apologize, everything you vlog about is interesting. Most of us are in other countries and it’s interesting seeing you live your life. Some of it is different some is interesting because it’s similar. We only see the good bits of life in most vlogs, it’s nice to see that we all can have bad days all over the world.

I hate the graffiti as well! It has to be repaired by someone and that costs money! We have a vintage red English telephone box at a local British pub and there is always a long line to get a picture by it. The doors don’t open anymore and it still draws a crowd! We always get a photo at the red telephone box in the English part of Epcot at Disney World😊

Ryan, i went to Florence and saw that everywhere, even on marble statues, INSIDE the churches. As a native from L.A. long ago, vandalism is all too common. The best you can do is set a good example and teach kids why its wrong. And if possible, exact a bit of justice when no one's lookin.

That’s a very nice phone book, my mom was English, it would of made her smile . My father Scotch and French, a little German. I’m stuck in the US in mostly Indian territory meaning large reservations around me, I love European family’s I feel so much at home watching all my chateau Channels.

My "Uncle Percy" was from the Old Kent Road. He took my dad there to see his family in the 1930's. A very different place then. We lived in Stevenage when they moved people out of London after the bombings. My husband and I were not rom London but it was a joy to work with all those people from The East End.
So here goes the side of the two Irish lads who sold a phone booth that was heading to scap for a fun few hours at the pub.40 something years later it is still a good yarn..😆🥰💚🍀 I hope the tire story turns out for you someday the same..😊 France in the Fall is lovely thanks for taking us with you today.
