At that point it would have been a waste of a good hard hitting man. So instead Vader lets him live while also testing the spy. Two birds, one stone, and a very ruthless but dedicated officer is still very much happily killing Rebels. A good day all around, unless you're the spy
I feel you, but in the end, I would do that too, if Vader was to kill me anyways and I lost all hope. It takes balls of steel to not apologizing BEFORE he starts the force choking ...
@Woody Crocker the resion they grasp their necks is a survival instinct to trying to remove what evers stoping you from breathing, i suspect also its like having a fucking BUS on your windpipe, ie not vary nice also vader can choke AND stop attacks from weapons with a good ease, or the weapons on the floor as they droped it.
How so? Vader never really did much torture or slow painful deaths to his victims aside from force choke, he always killed them quickly with precise. And he was never a fan of the Death Star either.
Dox in the labor camp gets a surprise, he thinks he is going to be released Dox: Finally maybe i can atone for what i did Vader: not quite Dox: You?! Vader: got a surprise for you *throws dirt and rocks all over his cell* Kaboom! Alderaan chunks everywhere Dox: Damn you Vader: these are actual pieces of Alderaan show some gratitude
Imagine being the guy that not only talked back to Vader, but also refused to apologize for what he's done, got Vader to admit he's wrong, and was spared before being brought in on a plan to prank some guy. Deemings must've become a legend after this.
Something I’m noticing about these comics and even the movies in some aspects is that Vader and the empire are not as willing to just randomly murder their own commanders. They just want to send a message.
@@dogwithabeard263 ruling an interstellar empire can only effectively be done long term if you are ruthless. The empire isn't perfect but there world's knew peace under there reign. Same cannot be said about the republic or the rebels.
The biggest kick in the nuts is that Vader didn't kill him in the end, instead sent him to a labor camp so can forever live with the guilt of killing his own people.
@@GoldPrince2468 then hes like "hey buddy u look down today so i brought u some thing!" *vader hand him a jar* Traitor: whats this? "Well we coulnt find the ashes of ur loves ones after YOU and ONLY YOU killed them so the closest thing we could get is the some ashes of the city they lived in...cuz U killed them!"
@@thefoolishgmodcube2644 English is not my first language Fun fact: If obi wan really sayed that to vader, he would be so filled with anger that his dark side powers would become more powerful than palpatine's power
While showing how absolutely ruthless he is. Like really, he watched tarkin commit genocide on one of the most beloved planets in the galaxy with a rich and amazing culture, an act even sidious was shocked by i might add, for absolutely no reason, and then has an undercover member of the people who had almost their entire culture and people wiped out destroy the last remnants of that civilization literally just to prove a point. Some people have laughed at me when i suggested that vader is actually more brutal than sidious in some ways, but it's stories like these that make that claim a hill i'm willing to die on, vader is an absolute menace.
It feels like he's finally learning how the Sith indulge in their powers from the time he killed the Cadet Trainer prematurely before the Emperor could force him to fall into despair at the last bits of the Republic being snuffed out by his Empire
@@daltonevans3412 i mean, Sidious was shocked by the destruction of alderaan, if mostly because it was an incredibly idiotic thing to do. blowing up that planet galvanized the rebels, and brought much more support to their cause. he was pissed about it, so much that he punnished Vader for it, mostly because Vader was supposed to be keeping Tarkin in line (and making sure he didn't try to make himself a warlord with the deathstar). vader would kill to achieve his objective, and had a twisted sense of humor (which is why he did this act), and was quite ruthless... but there is a big jump between being ruthless and blowing up a planet for no good reason. Tarkin did it because of his pride. wanted to show off his big new toy in the loudest way possible. a preening idiot.
@@owlsayssouth actually in lore vader was under tarkins command at this point. Sidious punished vader for another failure and put him under the direct command of tarkin, so vader definitely wasn't there to keep tarkin in line, it's actually the other way around really.
Vader: "So then I say 'if you hadn't just destroyed it' and he *totally* freaks out! If only you'd been there to see the look on his face, Master." Sidious: "Ahahahahaha! You have learned well, my young apprentice." Vader: "Thank you, my Ma-" Sidious: "It's almost as funny as that time you killed Padme." Vader: ... Sidious: "Trollmaster: 2, Apprentice: 0."
Making the gunner kill the last of his compatriots and sending him to a forced labour camp with the guilt of his deed to torment him forever, hehe classic troll
Remember kids, always have your weapon systems log everything so you can look back the specifics of each shot. "We must've hit a fuel depot" "Yeah maybe, but the logs say you fired at full power"
"You have served the Emperor well, Garil Dox, and you will continue to serve him -- in an Imperial labour camp." _Traitor is taken away_ 6:03 _Fist pumps_ "Nailed it."
I came expecting a typical Vader killing another person and im so happy to say I was wrong. This is the vader I love and what kylo ten lacked. In the original trilogy Vader wasn't just some anger fueled monster. He was also a military officer. And instead of killing everyone in sight. Vader used his high wits and scheming mind to utterly destroy the young soldier. This is who Vader was. A smart distuingished official. Not just a lightsaber wielding murderer
@@manbehindtheslatra1813 I do and I was smiling to the thought if this was to happen. what would be better is if this was animated and gotten a couple hundred views. yet few would do that. so i am stuck here with the idea of a meme potential, however lack all the skill to animate. then after the thought relapsed, I did think of the consequences. So in reality I caused my own downfall.
@Palpatine McSenateFace then let us add Rogue One to what is in our minds actually canon, while not allowing for the rest of the disney stuff save the Mandolorian
You know funny thing is cept the sequel trilogy everything but that has either been good to amazing to just way to epic like I love what disney and especially marvel has done with vader and honestly legends is cool but even I'm not blind to it's many glaring flaws
For a moment I thought this was gonna be a wholesome trolling with some laughs from the crew, a pad on the back, and a "it's all good man, we're just joking around"
I think your definition of trolling is a bit more extreme than my definition of trolling. "Ha, just made you kill the last of your people! Trollololol!" -Vader, probably.
Perry Mason I mean, as there is feigned ignorance involved and no _physical_ violence ensued between the troll and the trolled, I would say it tracks. Don’t recall any troll ever going “alright, this has gone too far, let’s calm down,” it’s generally not _innocent_ , sliding towards malicious.
This Darth Vader is so much better than the Darth Vader I've been seeing in the current comics. Actual cunning and clever rebukes, not just the mindless barbarism you see in current canon.
@@Bracus.ReghuskRogue one was a bit better than how the solo books described it, though both could very well take place at the same time. Mandalorian was awesome as is Bad Batch though
I did not think that the traitorous rebel was ever going to out troll vader, I mean his teacher was Obi Wan Kenobi, the greatest troll master of all time
I seriously thought this was gonna be about some off-charachter jokes between Vader and some imperial. But it's no suprise that getting trolled by Vader involves some form of genocide...
Nobody: *Gunner destroys his people's colonies thinking it's a rebel base Vader:Actually you just murdered your own people Gunner: *Say sike right now*
@Admiral Thrawn Yeah, yet Lore Master AKA Fact Free still manages to produce high quality videos, i would like to see what happened to the top 10 Duels list tho, is that getting uploaded? I know it takes time and dedication and luckily he is also working with two very talented narrators who can deliver the perfect voice for these obscure Star Wars stories.
Worry not! Yes, his name is Wes, he's the legacy narrator and I learned a lot from his style. I do try my best but it's nice to hear from viewers that I'm doing well. In regards to the lightsaber duels poll, Stay Tuned... :)
@@bradpara yeah but that was near the end of the run and honestly it's impressive how long it took the series to get to that point, and even then other stuff still kept it more restrained and solid all around like in a lot of the comics.
Dox is just like “Lord Vader, why do you honor me with your presence?” And Vader is just like “Your disloyalty to the Empire!” *lightsaber ignite* and now we have a Dox divided
@@katrinajarrett4251 Sorry for the late reply, but the Galactic Empire definitely had Human centered fascist tendencies, not by race among Humans. If you go by the definition of fascism being a power structure centered around attributes that people can't choose.
I loved this comic. It showed just how ruthless and clever Vader was. This is why Vader was the most feared individual in the galaxy. He was strong, yes. But he was also smart. And nothing is scarier than a a man who can overpower and outsmart you at the same time.
@@colbyboucher6391 Seeing as Palpatine thought so highly of the so-called "Tarkin Doctrine" that he had the entire Imperial military modeled after it, I assume he didn't really care. As for Vader, he might've seen it as a waste of time, seeing as he pointed out that, even with the imminent threat against Alderaan, Leia STILL refused to divulge the location of the active Rebel HQ, making the whole thing pointless.
Legend has it anikin was unsure about if he wanted to continue his life as darth vader but when he got trolled total darkness engulfed his soul and his mind has set...
This is actually such a good story wtf, really sinister on Vader's part getting Dox to kill his own people in order to out him and equally on Dox's part for killing his own allies just to protect their information.
I wish there was a comic or something showing Vader realizing or confronting Palpatine about the inhibitor chips and 5’s death and being mad at the emperor for deceiving him about the entire clone war.
It'd be kind-of late to do that after the Clone Wars. Chances are Vader learned rather quickly just how far Palpatine had gone to engineer his rise to power.
Don't worry at 5:43 folks. That settlement was not the only last settlement of the Alderaanians. In fact, they went ahead to had another settlement on a planet they named "New Alderaan". It didn't get destroyed and it survived the Galactic Civil War. It then became a member world of the New Republic after the destruction of the Empire and establishment of the New Republic. [Legends]
That's not "trolling." That's sabotage, like in any other storyline, and punished brilliantly by the evil scheming mastermind. Thus the title is clickbait.
Vader in movies: *Definition of badass* Vader in Rebels: *Cool, but not THAT cool* Vader in Comics: *Your worst nightmare given a lightsaber* Vader in Jedi Fallen Order: *Horror movie villain with God mode activated*
