People laughed at Moyes when he was at united not knowing that united were the problem not him, he did wonders with everton and now we're seeing his qualities as a manager shine with west Ham this club is going places definitely got potential to finish in the top 6 this season
The club was not a problem.. United was bigger than him and there's a higher expectation by the fans... He needs to be at a club with a lower expectation.
@@samuelyee4017 Soucek is better than Fellaini ever was in his current form and more important as a player for the side. He is one of only 2 outfield players to play every minute of the last season JWP was the other one.
More than tactics, what Moyes has done well to transform West Ham is the focus on fitness and team unity. Making transfers selectively based on a player's character too has hugely benefitted squad harmony, no doubt a crucial factor in maintaining form during a long COVID affected season with no fans.
The fitness is crucial, initially under Moyes we let in lots of late goals, as our fitness didn't last all match, now the fitter players are able to last a whole 90 minutes.
Had years of the boys (especially Pat) slating us week in week out on Sunday vibes when pellegrini was at the club and before that too so this is brilliant⚒⚒
Ngl, i think this is the best thing moyes could do. It happened with everton too. When he went to united people were expecting him to bring mu the title but i thought he won't and i was right. Though, it's good seeing moyes coming back from that and is enjoying his time now.
Good video. Can see Moyes pushing Soucek upfront like Fellani because of goal record, having brought in Krul to do play DM. Its another option when striking crisis occurs.
@@footballbrainer279 Rice will most probably go next summer & I've absolute faith in Moyes suring our mid & strengthing our team further. Continguisy plans will already be in place, the same is true for replacing Anto.
The same was happened in Aston villa .. both teams are struggling in escaping from relegation position .. next year they were competing for European seats
When moyes went to west ham i though he would be sacked by the end of his first season but he has proved me wrong. He really is back to his everton best
@@footballbrainer279 id say he's a manager , he does our transfers as well .... soucek , coufal and all the new signings this widow were all his buys ... so as well as being a coach , he does the managerial side as welll
David Moyes has changed a lot of West Ham's way of playing after bringing in great players such as Antonio, Benrahma and other players. West Ham this season is giving an amazing performance in every game he plays. I love this club so much and hope that he crowns the Premier League title this season. He deserves it.
@@chrisa94 I think many did, you'll always get the negative fans but even when he came in the first time, he still made the club more solid. West Ham was always going to be a good fit for him because it's similar to Everton. He was unlucky at Man United and Sunderland was never going to end well, Sunderland were crap.
The greatest season Ferguson had was his last as he squeeze every last once out of that United team and who ever was to take over was on a hiding to nothing. Moyes is a quality manager who did wonders at Everton and t played nice football. I glad that it's working out for him at West ham but t only down side is he hasn't won anything. Hopefully that will change.
Statistics, statistics. As a non-football man, I wonder if coaches are guided by these statistics? I can’t imagine that Ron Greenwood looked over pages of figures but I may be wrong. I guess that if you join good man management with playing to your strengths (and avoiding weaknesses) it might be the way forward for today’s teams. Very happy for anyone to provide insights into how teams are coached and given match plans.
Very good video. I think David Moyes has done a great job at West Ham, but I think the board should also be given credit as the signings of Coufal, Soucek, Benrahma, Dawson and the loan move of Lingard have been Brilliant.
Huge difference between current team and the team of years gone by is the ego - players like Anderson & Haller not connected to the club much more individual, we play as a unit now, it's brilliant 👍
Correct, but seems more less expensive clubs have mo regular stabil players in season. It's reflect on them, and their price rise. Do its normal process for football at all?
A year later they finished 14th in the premier league with a europa conference league trophy and back in the europa league and the majority of the fans still want him sack (fired) claiming the football is boring
Pretty sure everyone was saying he should have got the job after the good 6 months he had before and that this was the obvious choice, albeit a little later than it should have been made.
Nah they are just really not as good as they should be considering french talent etc. Now it's pretty much a one team league but then so is the bundesliga.
@@hectormarode6763 My guess is that Dortmund and now Lepzig gives one that false sense of competivness in the race of winning the league. But in reality Bundesliga feels more like a farmers league. And that in terms of average team, the Bundesliga is probably better than Ligue 1.
No plenty of good players like Payet or ASM come to prem and adapt or thrive. I think ligue 1 is taken less serious because of the only super rich club being PSG where as prem has Chelsea and Manchester clubs. Also most mid table prem teams out spend most teams in ligue 1.
Sir Alex Ferguson chose Moyes as his heir for a reason… it was Man Utd and the ego of their squad at the time that caused Moyes his downfall not Moyes himself
He just made the wrong choices after Everton job tbh. He was always a brilliant manager. SAF left a terrible and ageing squad for him to manage and was set up to fail there (Even Pep would've failed with that squad in that season imo) and Sunderland were just relegation fodder tbh (Look where they are now). Great to see him finally managing a great club and doing brilliantly.
You wish Bayern suffers the similar circumstances that happened to Juventus and Celtic in last season Serie A became attractive again thanks to pirlo's inexperience caused some Juventus hiccup in some matches
Bundesliga is the second best league in the world after the premier league. Sure Bayern win the title every year, but every position other than first place is very competitive. It is also the most tactical league in the world, The last 4 champions league finals had atleast one ex Bundesliga coach.
Honestly the simple answer is made them run. Having personal was not the problem it was the fact that we were by far the laziest team in the league and you could see it all the player were lethargic waiting for the oppositional make a mistake instead of just pressing and forcing the team to make one
Rather unfair to say this about Captain Incredible who has been with the Irons since 2004. He’s currently the longest serving player in the premiership. Arguably the best player never to have played for England He has done his dues for the club and worked tirelessly in the central defensive midfield role week in and week out. Abviously he’s been way past his best over the last few years. Unfortunately the irons did not have anyone better until Rice and Soucek started playing together. I can bet he can still through a great 1/2 hour from the reserves. God bless No.16
