Pop finds under rated stars so often it’s crazy Parker wasn’t an insanely high prospect but definitely good, Ginobili came out of no where, Kawhi Leonard came out of no where it’s crazy how he does this

Preston Spencer Kawhi was drafted by the Pacers early (He was projected to be much lower in the draft), but he was supposed to be the Spurs’ pick. So the Spurs decided to trade for Kawhi instead because the Pacers took him. I wouldn’t say he was out of nowhere.

Old school basketball wasn't about ball movement, it was full of iso's, but u are right in the sense that spurs don't shoot alot of 3's and they shoot the most mid-range jumpers and those are really old school stuff

Milto 22 Depends on your definition of “old school”, because ball movement was the way to go during the Wilt and Russel era. The ISO plays where done during the 90’s up to 10’s. 2014 was when ball movement got back.

Although I wouldn't wanna call ball movement "old school", because in the end this a team sport and it's kinda natural to share the ball. Also there are alot of teams that move the ball in today's league, and even in the 2000's there were some exceptions like the suns

its mesmerizing to watch a highlights full of lay ups instead of three's and jumpshots.. well executed plays=high percentage shots. I hope OKC watch some of this and try lol.. especially westbrook.. he can go for lay ups like this and get 30+ points but he refused to tssk....

Alright, I’m a Houston native (now in Chicago), so I’m sort of a Bulls and Rockets fan. But, I love watching the Spurs play. The greatest coach of all time coaches them and he turns players who weren’t supposed to be anything, into something (Derrick White, Manu Ginobili). He revives players careers (Rudy Gay, sort of Demar Derozan) and helps them. Lamarcus Aldridge is still dominating at his age. Demar Derozan isn’t choking in the postseason under Popovich, averaging 25. Derrick White and Dejounte Murray are both amazing young players. I love what the Spurs do, but when it comes against Houston...

White is not some random scrub he’s going to be a really good player for 10 years. Not the greatest shooter, but possesses a feel for the game a lot of veterans don’t yet have. Crafty Shaun Livingston like moves. The Spurs backcourt with he and Murray for however long it lasts is going to be TOUGH.

man, this nuggets team is good, but a lot of things get under my skin... barton's three point shooting (during the playoffs so far and before that), murray and jokic not playing (consistent) defense, harris' absense in clutch (and not clutch) moments, not even trying to use monte morris and malik beasley (over barton specifically) as starters, the lack of defensive effort as a whole I'm a nuggets fan but it surprises me to see they got to the second seed playing like that

Yasin Başlı I actually think Westbrook has something else going on b/c I’ve seen too many air balls late in games by him. Anxiety disorder maybe. The 1 shot he made against Houston to drop them to 4 seed was the most awkward heavily contested 3 he took that whole game. Then he air balled a wide open jumper with under 2 minutes left. Reminds me of Peja’s epic air ball, but constantly repeated.

If you combined the Spurs ability to turn scrubs into stars and the Lakers ability to tank and pick potential stars there would be no Warriors dynasty. Unfortunately Pop has to make the best of what little he has and Lakers end up taking potential super stars and turning them into G-League status.

Dwhite is a smart player. He is not the most physically gifted player but he can surely finish with those dribble drives. Plus, he have consistent shooting and shoots it when its "time".

He doesn't have the speed like the young Parker but he is already a far better shooter and defender than Parker was and he is quite buffed which enables him to absorb a lot of contact and finish at the paint

he is young and has plenty of time to cut weight and put on more muscle. he might be a liability in defense but all nuggets offense run through him. maybe find a way to hide him on defense?

He's really good at finishing at the rim and I understand when you have Jokic protecting the rim for your opponent you gotta attack him bu it's not always good to drive to rim when you have a wide open 3

Well i think it's also psychological. I think it gives a negative effect thinking you're unable to challenge anything in the rim. Shooting a 3 is basically giving Jokic a pass.
