The 80's definitely rocks 😺👍🕹️. In fact, i was born in the summer of 1983 - a retrospective decade of the old TV shows (MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, ALF), the hard rock and heavy metal bands (HELLOWEEN, METALLICA, SEPULTURA), and the legendary classic home computers, Commodore 64 and Amiga 500 😺👍🕹️.

I can’t get enough of the 80s TV show and it was very funny at the time on this TV show tops all the TV shoes very original. In the very funny what’s up to Alf I like your new whip.
But if the Tanner family were living in L.A. Beverly Hills or Bel-Air within California,.....guarantee it, Lynn would be driving that thing no problem.
This is an episode where you genuinely side with Alf. For once he didn’t do anything wrong. He bought the car legally and with his own money. Willie definitely gets an L in parenting for this one
if he wanted Lynn to learn the meaning of hard working, he should have just made her promise she would gradually pay Alf every single penny back. It wouldnt be so different from asking for a bank loan
To answer the question in the title, on ALF's former world (Melmac) gold is a cheap metal (and thus his spaceship had a bunch of it) and foam is actually valuable! And don't think that the idea is TOO absurd as aluminum used to be as expensive as gold until they discovered a way to get the aluminum cheaper. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_aluminium
