I suspect an analogy would be found in the way the British extended their empire into India. The lack of transference of technology from the Romans demonstrates a power relationship where the knowledge of the advanced building techniques was kept to the invaders and their specialist engineers. The elite British celts would have kept their status and been able to afford to buy Roman technology and live in a Romano-British lifestyle. While the rest of the lower class Britons would continue to live as they did before the invasion of the Romans. This was replicated in British control of India. The aristocratic class of India would continue to use their power and influence to maintain the class structures over the mass of working Indians who saw little improvement in their lives during the British Rajah.

That's still happening in India today without Britain. Last year I found a 2 year old little girl playing between the ocean and highway. No adults to be seen. This was in Northern Kerala too. Was taking pictures of the ocean in the back of a car. Ilooked back at one of the pictures when I saw her. She was wearing a dress and trash bag. My husband is from Trivandrum and he didn't seem shocked to see a baby all alone there. He comes from money and never wanted for anything in his life. He said he didn't want to get involved. I made the driver turn around. At first she was scared and wouldn't come to me. I offered her my juice and she slowly walked to me. After 10 minutes we were able to get her and take her to a police station. They feed her and gave her dry clothes. We lost 30 minutes of our time but saved her life. She had been missing 2 days. She followed her older brother to school and got lost from there. Still to this day i can't believe my husband argued with me about saving a baby.

Regarding the sled threasher. I've seen near twins to this. An antique wooden door shop in Petaluma, California had 4 of these for sale. The owner claimed they were 500 years old and came from northern Italy. The main and only difference that I could see is these antique sleds have flint cutters that are much smaller and in a pattern that vastly increase the effectiveness.

I could never be an archeologist, my father told me to study hard and get a good education so I wouldn't have to dig ditches to make a living. Joseph of Arithima, was a Jew who knew Jesus. He had a fleet of ships and owned tin mines in Britton . When he was kicked out of the Sanhedran for believing that Jesus was the Messiah, he took his family and left for Britton. He was one of the first to bring Christianity to Britton. They say that Paul was found not guilty in Rome because his accusers never showed for the trail. It is said that he continued his travels on to Spain asnd Britton. The faith goes way back in the islles.

@leecarlson9713

The r is put on a word ending in a vowel, to give the word an end to distinguish it from the next word. President JohnF Kennedy spoke very similarly, with his Bostonian accent.

They use it a ton in the later episodes and in the new episodes out now. I didn't understand your statement like if the technology had existed. But as soon as it does exist oh they use it and it is fantastic. It makes it so much easier. Well in a way they did use drone technology when they're in the helicopter. It's kind of drone-ish, right?
@bluelagoon1980
@bluelagoon1980 6 месяцев назад
This episode is from 2002. Drone technology was not what it is now. The earliest episode I can remember them using it was from 2013 (Woolsey's Lost Palace, aka The Palace Beneath the Playground). It was a polystyrene winged device (shaped like a stealth plane) with a digital camera to take pictures (not video, and the quality looked about 480p). You had to violently shake the drone to turn the propeller on, and it flew on a pre-programmed path. That's a long way from the gorgeous 4k volcano footage that's come out of Iceland in the last year or so.

How do these Time Team members stay so young?
@dannybaker2763
@dannybaker2763 Год назад
Phil and Tony are believed to belong to an old, even ancient, archeological cult, wherein the most senior members drink a drop of blood taken from their High Priestess, Carenza, on every full moon. Her powers grant them nigh immortality, but she needs to replenish herself by feeding on geo-phys noobs whenever they make errors. The fear they feel upon making the error charges their blood and High Priestess Carenza swoops in to make her kill. Or these are just old shows....not sure.
