This European has learned more about how disgusting and corrupt American politics really is from Thom than ANY other leftie RU-vidr. I've being watching him for about 2 years now.
Yes he is. If I'm not mistaken, back in the day I used to listen to Tom on my local NPR station in Johnson City, TN. I think there were problems of some sort but it's good to hear him again. He's very bright and insightful.
@@jeanette590 Girl, he calls Madison cawthorn and Matt Gaetz radical republicans, they aren’t, they are right wing they populists, radical republicans used to be progressive pro black republicans in the 1880s, he doesn’t know shit, also David supports doing a coup in Venezuela even though Maduro helps his people and Tom Hartmann supports Pelosi and Schumer, that’s why both are shitlibs
Well... The only two big comapnies that have any of my data, are Google and Lenovo. But as I am living inside the EU, and not America, then the laws for data gathering are a bit different and more tight here. I dont have any FB, twitter and that stuff. And I am using Linux.
It’s all in the name of convenience. It’s easy to say you’re going to use your devices less often, but the next time you need directions are you going to Google them or stop at a gas station and buy a map?
I'm so glad I don't listen to Thom Hartmann's show anymore. He's a better-educated, more experienced, liberal Ben Shapiro. He'll make you angry and afraid if that's what you're looking for. JMO
It's a little contradictory that he seems to endorse the traditional phone model of corporations and government not routinely monitoring or regulating the content of phone calls, but seems to support corporate and/or government monitoring and regulation of internet content. Or, maybe I'm misreading him. As for right to be forgotten, that seems overall like a bad idea to me. If there is legitimate content on the internet about, say, sex crimes or financial misconduct, then potential romantic dates or financial partners should be able to access that. For example, imagine if the Tinder Swindler were able to make information about him impossible to find, then new women could be swindled again and again.
No the show his wife directed and Thom co-produced called "the Big Picture" was broadcast from the RT studios in DC until Sept 2017. Thom always retained full editorial control and he did not work for RT.
@@sinisterminister6478 no head shaking, mine was just a little joke, lol! And I have to say, I've easily read that many books cover to cover, it's just that I read classic sci Fi and Stephen king so I still don't know s**t.
Q: it isn’t okay for Putin to put false or violent information on social media. However, social media has been allowed to publish 1million bounty for Putin. 😒
More of this less of the "smarmy" stuff... Not sure what smarmy means it just feels like the right word, lol! All the stuff based on senseless trump supporters and whatnot... I mean it is fun sometimes but like icing on the cake not the cake itself...
Hi everyone, Does anyone else think it's odd that Mr. Pakman isn't talking about the $1.5T dollar spending bill Congress just passed. Why would congress think it's necessary to add more money to an already overheated economy and why would they think money can solve the problems we are facing?
@@exiledfrommyself Hi exiledfrommyself, thanks for the reply. Our economy is actually very important when it comes to a functioning society. It is very important that the value of the dollar is up and our debt is low in order to promote stability. Printing too much money will devalue the currency. Did you know that printing too much money is actually an impulse control issue?
@@patmahinie5728 We need a functioning society; we need a civil society. Spending money on the things we need makes that happen. As long as we're paying the bills when they're due there's no problem.
@@exiledfrommyself Hi exiledfrommyself, I agree with most of your comment. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear like we are spending money on the things we need but rather on poor decisions that were made in the past. An example of a bad decision is the $13.6 billion allocated for the Ukrainian crisis. Very poor decisions were made leading to these events that reflect a serious problem in our leadership. Did you know that paying for bad decisions is a form of debt? It is important that the debt goes to the right people or we could end up like the people of Afghanistan and Ukraine.
No his last episode of The Big Picture was in 2017. From Wikipedia: "Hartmann hosted a one-hour daily TV show at 7 pm. ET Monday to Friday, The Big Picture with Thom Hartmann, which was editorially directed by his wife and was broadcast from the Washington, D.C., studios of the RT news network. The show featured many conservative guests who routinely sparred with Hartmann. Hartmann co-produced the program with RT, who provided studio and carriage, while Hartmann retained full editorial control of his programming. The RT network aired the program via Dish Network, DirecTV, and on selected local-origination and public-access television cable TV channels globally. After hosting the program for seven years, Hartmann announced his departure as host on September 29, 2017."
