The only difference is the 80s Zartan only turned blue while in sunlight

He was always my favorite figure when I was a kid, he came with the green sled thing! I loved the dreadnoughts! And the twins where the absolute favorite Joes of all time! The bad guys are always the coolest! #1 the twins, #2 snake eyes & storm shadow, #3 zartan and all the dreadnoughts! Top 3 vehicles #1 The black cobra jet #2 the red cobra boat, #3 the dreadnoughts car and those were my top 3 favorite vehicles and figures

Cuz Zartan turned color in the cold? Wait, NO! It was sunlight, like in the comics, cartoon, and original toy. I literally have color changing PLA that turns blue in the sun so there's no way they can't say it isn't possible anymore. This was a huge ball drop and why I'm not even interested in that Zartan.

Kind of dumb they did it this way. One, it means you can't get the effect, and play with him at the same time. It's also ass backwards, because he is supposed to change color because of the sun, and his aversion to it. Part of why he dwells in the swamps.

Great gimmick. I am late to the game, but if they reissue him, he should color change with heat, so if you put him in the sun he turns blue. Or maybe that type of color change is harder to do and he would be blue all the time?

It's cool, but a little silly. It won't stay that way for long unless you KEEP it in the freezer. Good for quick pictures but not much else.

Also, it scares me just a little bit that it would make it harder to articulate when it is colder. Thus making it more susceptible to snapping at the joints.

froze him in the quick short for about 5mins if you give him a good 20 i imagine hed be fully blue all over lol

How can you not know it? Because u don't collect GI Joe before. All GI Joe Collector's since the vintage toys know it. Or maybe if you researched or watched other reviews you'll know it too.
