Not a ‘do not try at home’ but certainly something I was told not to do. I work a humane society that gets dogs in from a rough city and they can be rather mean at times. This has never deterred my optimism and confidence. I’ve walked into multiple dangerous dogs suites with no protection or even an escape plan and it’s literally never gone even a little bad for me. Other walkers try and get snarled at but the dogs have never had a problem with me for some reason. Helps in a pretty big dude I guess so realistically none of the dogs are much of a threat anyways but we’ve had some big pitts that everyone was afraid of just melt in my hands, or rather lap. I give good ear scratches I guess. I like the open mouth stares I get from workers.

Got kicked out of home economics for getting a sewing machine needle stabbed through my finger not once but twice. First time was on a dare both the person running it and me basically playing chicken. It went through the nail and through bone. Second time was just because I'm an idiot and that time only went through the flesh. They didn't keep me in that class to let it probably happen again a 3rd time. 15 years later and now I have an irrational (or maybe it actually is kinda rational) fear of sewing machines!

So this one time me and my cousin were wrestling in a bouncy house. He held me in the Kimura lock (where he bent my arm backwards while lying on the floor) and it felt like he was going to break my arm. I tapped out before he did that

Put a firecracker in a cigarette and completely forgot about it. Skip ahead several months and my friend notices the cigarette with the firecracker hidden inside the tobacco and asked if he could smoke it and I told him it was fine, totally forgetting the little surprise. He lit it and we're sitting and talking when out of nowhere the cigarette explodes! After a couple seconds I realized what happened and told him, nobody was injured so we both thought it was hilarious. Couldn't stop laughing for a good couple minutes!

Not a "don't try this at home" but still very stupid and painful. It was a nice spring break morning back when I was in 3rd grade, I got up and went to the kitchen to make myself a bowl of cereal. In my oh so clever kid mind, I got a stepstool and grabbed the cereal, and I decided that I didn't want to get off the stepstool and reposition it over to the cupboard, so I tried sliding it towards the cupboard, and I lost my balance. I fell onto the tiled floor very hard, and my screaming and crying awoke my parents.

I, too, once made napalm for a science experiment. Watching it burn was awesome, but the residue just would not come off the front walkway. Ever.

I used to think that people being concerned that kids/teens would imitate "Jackass" was an over-exaggeration. This video has proven me wrong, apparently. . .

with my siblings we'd trap one sibling under a blanket, hold all four sides down and then make them escape. we'd also lay on one bean bag chair, stack four more on top, then take turns jumping on the person from the top bunk. i have no idea how we thought that last one was a good idea. both games were completely agreed on by everyone too.

I have a question about the story around 2:35: What does shaking a beer can and burying it do? I would imagine that it would either explode as soon as it’s left or fizzle out and reduce pressure from sitting with no agitation. Does the firepit on top have something to do with the explosion?

I think the dumbest "Don't Try This At Home" thing I saw was when they put an F-350 on some sort of pendulum, like a HUGE pendulum in a metal room and swung it around in circles like a centrifugal machine. I always liked to think some rich asshole looking at that and angrily dismantling his underground Truck Centrifuge Machine.

My dad saw a kid shoot a bow and arrow straight upwards and would watch it come down. One day the kid shot it up and it hit his eye, it popped out and he came running down the street faster than any human could run
