If aguero didn't score and united won the league , sir Alex would of retired there and then ,for that reason I'll always be grateful to aguero , for giving fergie the fire for one more fight .
and thank him for shifting power to the etihhad😂😂and oh making sure that old poop smelling grand pa got to play vs pep and messi😂😂😂 got hammered then retired😂
Your channel is criminally underrated. I have learnt so much of the past from your videos. Well explained well scripted, edited etc. Finally a video on Man City💙🤟
I love how you mentioned that Man City had success in the past while showing a clip of their 1969 FA Cup win, too many people repeat the same tired narrative that they have no history and were born in 2008, the same applies to Chelsea and PSG before their takeovers.
@@venetoxyt8332 History is history. It's not always glorious, not always successful. In sporting terms, it's often cyclical with success coming in fits and starts. Even United, Liverpool and Arsenal have had their days in the doldrums.
@@bipin249 Ok so Chelsea and City have had more success in recent years, so what? History means nothing in terms of performance in the present. No disrespect to the likes of Arsenal, United and Liverpool but to be honest, I imagine having more money than other teams was probably a fair part of their successes back in the day, especially in the 80s and 90s as the commercial side of things started to gain importance. Chelsea's major honours list before Abramovich: First Division: 1954-55 FA Cup: 1969-70, 1996-97, 1999-00 League Cup: 1964-65, 1997-98 Cup Winners Cup: 1970-71, 1997-98 In terms of other trophies: Second Division: 1983-84, 1988-89 Full Members Cup: 1985-86, 1989-90 Community Shield: 1955, 2000 UEFA Super Cup: 1998 Granted in the eyes of the likes of Arsenal, United and Liverpool, it's pretty mediocre but most team's records are quite frankly, mediocre in comparison to those three and overall I'd say Chelsea's is fairly respectable. Besides, in the few years before Abramovich took over I'd say that Chelsea were starting to establish themselves among the top teams in the league. In the five seasons before Abramovich took over they finished 3rd, 5th, 6th, 6th and 4th. It wasn't as though they came from absolutely nowhere. Yes the money helped a lot, but it would've helped any team a lot.
As a united fan I was pissed as hell. But then you realise what a game it was and that i was able to see the iconic agueroooo shout live. Honestly it was truly incredible.
@@BulbaZod please read my comment again. I said I was pissed. But later I absorbed it and appreciated this iconic moment. And with regards to what you said if I said city is trash while united is behind them or as a Madrid fan say Barcelona did well its not me being a traitor or anything its just me accepting the fact that they were better.
You should do a brief history of Tottenham Hotspur: Their success in the past, the failure to succeed in recent history and how close they have gotten compared to their rivals who have been able to get over the line.
Kompany was a centre back at rsca. it was hamburg and man city that experimented him as a defensive midfielder. But he started his career as a technically gifted central defender.
I remember being at the Sunderland - Manchester United game, the atmosphere was so tense. All the MU players were clapping after Aguero got that winning goal during the City game. Sunderland fans screaming whatever it was again, all in payback of when we beat City during that same season. Bittersweet. All in good faith, though, nice job to City ever since that - maybe you guys will win a Champions League eventually.
See I’ve grown up in my household as the only Manchester City fan tackling my Manchester United fan based parents and siblings I have now uncovered from Football Iconic the deep history of a club I’ve supported from the beginning without a second thought and one I’ll support until the end of my days...seeing the lows from before I entered the world, seeing the desire of Man City to achieve greatness, and to see us now dominating for a video long overdue I must say thanks for the past fans, managers, owners of the club and icons that believed in our club💙 for you have impact a lot of City fans life seeing that you guys never ceased to believe in Manchester City in the of drought you have given me and other fans the true meaning of being a Manchester City fan..watching the history shown from our succession and struggles in 1904 to present gave me goosebumps and had me very emotional especially the scene of the 2011-2012 season made me feel I was right there; present in the moment. To Football Icons thank you for this informative video that was well scripted, edited and executed. Again “ YOU CAN ONLY SEE MORE POTS ON THE SELF AND BEFORE LONG, THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE” I bleed blue Love you Manchester City now and forever 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Seriously one of the best footy channels on RU-vid, hope your channel keeps growing & gets the attention it deserves. I sent your videos to my friends, you should have at least 100k subs
yes so sunderland are not a legendary team, neither are norwich and nottingham forest who have won what you have not won yet even after having a good squad and spending more than a billion pounds
Awesome channel. I stumbled onto it completely by accident on a suggestion after watching an HITC Sevens video and absolutely love your content. One quick note though, at 09:46 you showed a list of players that were bought ahead of the 08/09 campaign and suggested that they were bought after the takeover. Zabaleta and all the names before him, in particular Kompany, were bought before the takeover, not after.
i still get goosebumps watching the qpr title decider. and in all honesty, I think at least for me in the modern era of man city, the 2012 side will always rank as number one. and not because of the quality in the side, or how fantastic of a manager Mancini is, but rather because of the milestone they achieved for the club and what happened thereafter. the mystique around that side is something that is just unquantifiable.
And to think that if Ballotelli had been rightly sent off, like he should of been against Tottenham earlier in the season. That moment probably would of most likely never of happened.
I was introduced to super Mario in 2011 and started following him, football, and Man City. It s a sore sight to see how Super Mario went ahead, but the team has only grown ever since. Been a follower of Man City over a decade now and boy that's a hurricane 🌀
I started following city because of Aguero Balotelli and Tevez when I first got into football, it hurt like hell to see Aguero go but I love a city have become hopefully we can get our first CL soon 🙏🏽 😂
Almost 10 years and my eyes still fill with tears of joy when i remember that aguero goal. Happy retirement legend. Manchester will always love you and will always be your home.
I know people criticize us for lots of things but this man Sheikh Monsieur saved the club and that is something that some owners don't care about, just like Abramovich for Chelsea they really were patient and just let the years go by until real success came in, gotta appreciate the effort at least.
I don't know how you only have 29k subscribers, you deserve much more! Only good thing is you still read the comments most likely. Could you do a video on the Claude Makelele and Ngolo Kante and the comparisons made between them? Also, video on Frank Lampard would be great as you already made one on Steven Gerrard :)
That goal that sent united to the second division is HILARIOUS 😂😂😂😂😂 made funnier cuz the guy that scored was a united LEGEND lmaooooo que Viva El futbol 😁😁
"clubs are not punished for breaking the law - they are punished for beimg found out". Well that goes for any and every law that has come into existence.
I began from the Chelsea video and I've finally watched all your videos and I your content is really good. The best part of all this the articles on your website is even and better and I definitely read it with your voice, and those jokes that you make in the video and articles are better when read in your voice. Thank you for sharing so much information in depth about this game it's been really informative and thought me a lot of things. Very under rated channel ♥️
I am a United fan but I hope City can win a Champions League, they deserve after suffering they had when i was growing up in the 90's and most of the noughties too.
There just lottery winners, not a pound of that money was earned by the club, they should enjoy it while it lasts and then go back to the championship where they belong
amazing video bro. well done and the mancity team built something and now they are champions once again and about to make history by winning the champions league as well. wow
Mannnnn trust me you gotta do it, I begrudgingly watched the chelsea and united ones 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃 it was a nice little nostalgia trip of when I started enjoying the game ❤❤
United don't even need to spend a lot, if there was a compentent DOF, and let's say within 2 years owners inject 200m of pounds, smart DOF would be able to make a team in those 2 years. With sales and buys.
The 2012 city will always be iconic for the Aguero moment. However after that: Centurions Fourmidables Treble winners And might even try a 4peat... City has dominated the game so far
As a guy who joined Man City when in 2011, that Mangala joke in the beginning killed me. He and Fernando were the most overrated players we had all decade.
MC really evolved when Pep arrived n settled. It needs a great coach to identify players to blend into a team. Greater to blend them into a juggernaught. Up to club to find the means to find the means to get players. Some clubs have said NO. paradox. If owners are digging into their pockets, why can't they do so? Poor business if Corp wants their name on team, n willing to pay, who is to say no?
Most teams who have won the league bought it, with the exception of Leicester, all the other clubs were rebuilding, and the stars just aligned for them. A one off, we will not see for decades.
14:54 LOL one can actually appreciate Dzeko face, plastered in anger ! ManCity s own investigation cncluded that Carlos did not re3fuse to play, just to keep warming up.
For a purely football stand point we all have to admit that big clubs like United have heavy influence over the rules created and basically have locked out any other club getting the status they have and share with the big clubs. So this is basically the only way to get to United’s level in the modern game and it’s just nice to an extra team provide competition. Even if the other big clubs are bad at investing the billions they have
