@@R1PCH41N_FR3NZY nah, mind brand, specifically the "welcome to the mind fuck" bit there should be a video out there who uses the clip the sample comes from as an intro for the song
@@iliketrains-bc7zk From what I understand, his girlfriend in 2017/2018 made a post saying he cheated on her with a mentally unstable minor (over the age of 18, but under the age of 20 wich is when someone is considered an adult in Japan) who he manipulated to have relations. Maretu later sued his girlfriend for difamation and (I think based on a document posted by him) won, later admitting on Twitter that he did cheat on his girlfriend, but not with a minor or a mentally unstable person who couldn't/didn't consent. You can look up the tweets in the vocaloid/vocaloidlyrics wiki of Maretu (can't remember wich site exactly); What I said above is based off of english comments regarding the situation and translations made with DeepL of Maretu's tweets and documents posted about the situation.
@@offtan it's not. The Nostalgia Critic Sample was discovered after a user uploaded a slowed down cover of Mind Brand where you can clearly hear it's the same.
i like how maretu uses various samples in an unexpective manner, like how they hold that kind of ordinary feeling while being used in a song about dark subjects.
@@darkacadpresenceinblood vibrato was a dead giveaway but it seems so obvious in hindsight- E-A-O=fI-gA-rO as a classical musician and certified maretu fan this sample is so cool actually
So, I'm Brazilian and here in Brazil we talk Portuguese. In portuguese, "figaro" is very similar to the word "fígado", that means "liver", y'know, the organ. Maybe this inspired Maretu?

I’m sorry, but I don’t know any of the context so this is hilarious to me. A girl passes out (or dies) so the other one starts crying and sining which summons two other girls to sing. While the she’s crying over her body she wakes up and hold hands seemingly casually.
Jerma makes a guttural sound when singing the 'aa' part. I also didn't think it sounded like him at all, it sounds like Maretu sampled an opera singer, with the intense vibrato and all
