It wasn't a mistake...they sent him there to be killed. That's been my feeling since the beginning. And I agree, Michael ...I put nothing past the government. Another great video....thank you

Sadly I’ve spent a few years incarcerated and the advice from your dad about being polite and respectful is so true regarding how far it will get you inside. I was always respectful and said excuse me, please etc and never had a single dust up. Crazy thing is it’s same way I act in the free world and I’ve managed to not get hurt due to my mouth or selfish ways. Funny how that works. A little decency can go real far. In all environments

Michael I'm a retired Bureau of Prisons Correctional Officer. Whitey Bulger was first at Coleman Pen 2. Coleman Pen 2 is considered a care facility penitentiary. Basically it's for, gang dropouts, senior inmates, and inmates with severe medical problems. He was then transferred from pen 2 to USP Hazleton. USP Hazleton is gladiator School. Kill or be killed type of joint. That transfer should have never happened... This was a planned assassination. Remember he embarrassed the government. They don't like to get embarrassed and they don't ever forget.

It's true. Just the slightest acknowledgement that you did something wrong is often all it takes. Think of road rage incidents caused because one driver didn't ask before they moved in front of another driver or if they accidental,y cut someone off but then doesn't give some sort of gesture to signal that they're sorry. The other driver then goes into a fit of rage simply because the offending party didn't acknowledge their mistake.

Great video Michael, love your new setting with the book cases and books etc. I really enjoyed Black Mass, I need to check it out again. I remember after 911 and the internet was relatively new in Ireland we looked up the FBI's 10 most wanted to see what it said about Bin Laden and we went through the top ten, I'm near certain Whitey was number 2. We had no idea who he was being from Ireland and only teenagers, but it said that the FBI believed he could be hiding out in Ireland lol and that their had been sightings in Europe including Italy lol

The FBI does not rank those on the 10 most wanted list. There is no number 1, no number 2, etc. Interestingly sometimes there are 11 people on the 10 most wanted list. Amazingly, the penalty can be one year if you alter a poster.

Hi Michael! Thanks for an interesting video that focusses on the quality of administrative decisions made by the Bureau of Prisons. You cite notoriety of the prison and Bulger’s reputation as elements that should have been considered. I wonder if the actual written decision to transfer Bulger cites the reasons and if it is based on written guidelines for such decisions; if the decision cites the guidelines, it might be a bad decision but a correct one such that the Bureau would not be at fault. Even though Bulger lead a criminal life, this does not diminish the state’s responsibility to have kept him safe while he was in its custody.

Interesting fact: There are still people in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland who are related to Whitey Bulger, as that is where his father came from
@kencoakley3959
@kencoakley3959 Год назад
I had a close friend whose father worked for and was killed by Whitey Bulger. I never met his father because Whitey whacked him personally before my friend and I met. The funny thing is that the father was a monster who was whacked for killing a drug dealer who kept producing money for Whitey. My friend looked just like his father (I saw his picture in a book) but, like his mother, he was a very timid, peaceful soul. He has actually found some success as a poet in Boston's poetry scene. He would invite me every year to watch the St. Patrick's Day parade with him in Southie

I think Whitey was set up on that transfer since I read he was killed only hours after getting there. A hit from people who had nothing to lose? Absolutely. Was it orchestrated by someone linked to the Mafia? Sure especially since one of the 3 arrested was in that life. One thing is for certain Michael. You're a heck of a storyteller and you have your own unique style and charisma. Good to see you back home from Europe. Give my regards to Cammy and to the girls and Michael Jr! Benedizioni!

It's funny Michael. I worked right around the corner from where the FBI caught Bolger in Santa Monica, California (on the beach in L.A.). I could walk to his apartment from our office building to his front door in about four minutes. We were on 4th street, he and his girlfriend were on 3rd street. It was weird.

@@bhall4996 No (that I know of). He didn't like going out of his apartment very much because he knew he and his girlfriend were being hunted. If he saw his girlfriend talking to the neighbors for what he thought was more than a short time, he would pull her away and scold her. They basically kept to themselves and stayed out of sight. What they bought, they paid for in cash (i.e. rent, by money orders, always on time). They tried as best they could to keep a low profile. (It's been said that Bulger would buy I.D.'s off of homeless people constantly which helped him alot).

I love the history I grew up in the gangster live too here in streets of L.A my Dad was from south side of Chicago in the Irish community he always taught us to keep our mouths closed when we where little kids even lying to the FBI. When they came to the door at 5 years old 😂😂😂. Instincts feelings and having no trust is what kept me out of jail. I turn my life around on my own I learned to be a solid person and still have the gangster mentality to keep me living so I appreciate your shows. Ps there's no fun doing licks if you're going to get caught. And locked up for it in a box with a lot of guys running around in their boxers 🤣😂 if they was bunch of women then I would love being locked up. I've been locked up before but never no prison time. But I do appreciate your shows. I used to do a lot of plumbing right there in Santa Monica and I think a couple times I've done work at work building where whitey Boulder was living in he went out to walk his dog when I came in to do the repairs . Crazy when I saw him on the news and I recognized him and his girlfriend.
