Do you know why and how X-Men 97 saved Marvel? Marvel produced X-Men 97, which is a revival of "X-Men: The Animated Series," the classic mutant animation originally aired between 1992 and 1997. But why was X-Men 97 a success? Nostalgia, perhaps? That's what we're going to talk about in today's video.

It’s because the new show is made by those who were fans of the original show. As such not only does it honor the original, but it takes it in bold directions that don’t take away from what makes X-Men special.

Indeed. Fans of the original series and pulls from the original source material. Good storytelling and character beats. Weird that with everything else they don’t get fans, involved, or actually good and appropriate talents involved.

First, we get the 90s animated universe back, and then we get the 2000s animated universe sure it will take a while to get earth's mightiest heroes but 90s hulk and silver surfer are worth it / who else wants 90s spiderman back love the series but wasn't it finished with Stan Lee at the end ?

Ehh not yet its not lol Wait until the X-men hit the big screen and they knock it out of the park first, cuz the X-men will save it, but not in this incarnation. Its a great start, but com'on its a bloody cartoon, maybe it preserved our childhood buuuut saying it saved Marvel sounds kinda disparate lol be patient fellow Weebs, the real X-men are coming, dont stat the celebration to earlier.

In some things, I even agree with you, but in my view, the most loyal Marvel audience are those who grew up with these comics, meaning us. We grew up and now we need more realistic content too. You can see how "The Boys" and "Invincible" stood out; this is all because the idea of not bringing something violent or realistic because of the children is somewhat outdated. So, I think that to save Marvel, they should focus on this grown-up audience and not just on the new young people.
