I can't believe how balanced he got that without using laser he did it old school. I'm amazed watching these men work they have learned to use what they have and they do great work. They take pride in what they do and I give them all huge respect. They are hard working men.
It wil twist andl snap again as the truck is double the weight it supposed to be They decorate and then load the truck to look like a expedition elephant
I watch these videos just to see new ways of doing it wrong and they don't disappoint that shaft will break again long with every other hack job they perform

@@Иван-и1е4н how do you figure using a bent welding rod increases strength? That sounds dumb. The alloy of the rod which is usually numbered on the flux of the rod tells you the potential strength, if you bend it or not. Example 7018 rod can produce 70,000 PSI strength. If you bend a rod for better position or not.
so they twisted the original shaft so lets cut that off and weld in smaller tube and weld the end of the tube so its even big enough to fit the yoke and eyeball everything including the balance.. lol I love it.
That kind of tubing is not the correct one. It looks like a 3 1/2" diam tubing and it must be 4" for that kind of torque. It will break again. Also must be alignment.
Perhaps you can fly over there and let them know they did it wrong. Then you can try to source some 4" tubing that most likely isn't available. You use what you have, and when it breaks, you fix it again.
Did they not have the right size pipe? Why did they go with a smaller diameter? The flanges obviously can accept a larger size. Their fix will just twist again. Job security? Unfortunately they really didn't fix anything, they just put a bandaid on it?!
They did it wrong, all they had to do was place the cardan shaft to flatten it in the press and then heat it up with a torch, then put it on the lathe to untwist it.
These guys have no clue. You should cut the weld at the butt shoulder and fit a new tube over the exposed butt diameter. Not scab a piece onto the end of a chunk of the original tube.
