The state of mental health or mental illness as an independent artist can be directly related to what we eat, how we take care of our bodies, our sleep patterns, spirituality and even our environment. Indie artists might not be able to change all five factors all at once but just like in Subtractive EQing, seek to cut out things first before adding things in. You can't enjoy money if you're sick.
