Awesome that you did this tips and tricks tutorial on DJ Snake, he was one of my favorite DJs that can really mix into various genres pretty well. I've seen do a couple of shows in the NYC area where I live, and his sets are high energy. Thanks DJ Carlo you the man!
DJ Snake is 🔥 and he was using Scratchlive at his shows not sure if he still does currently. Love that he still uses t-tables which is very rare in the edm scene. Great entertainer overall.
Great breakdown - I love how you always mention if a technique is controversial to make new DJs aware of possibly getting frowned upon using them. That being said, nothing wrong with bpm transition tracks every now and then in my book. I usually don‘t have a set list when going online, but instead just some key songs that I want to highlight. Mixing in key helps getting me from the song I‘m at to the next one I wish to highlight, but sometimes bpm really gets in the way. I‘ll definitely look more into these bpm transition tracks now 🍀
make sure you check out demodrop as well. Great mixes and mashups by international DJs. Lot's of deep cuts in there. That's actually how I found Bleu Clair who is one of my favorite DJs now.
Absolutely love your tutorials these allowed me to improve my djing in no time i must say its one of the best dj channels out there if not the only one! Keep up the good work.
I know im a little late to the party but watching some of these older videos is amazing and you tech stuff that no other DJ explains. This Chorus to buildup mixing is amazing and took my took my DJ game to the next level. Thanks Carlos.
Can you do a video explaining how you identify certain songs to use specific cue points to play another song. For example in your championship mix you use the Star Wars Imperial March to intro “Yeah” -Usher/Lil Jon I’ve seen you do this with other songs I just can’t recall them at the moment I also think you could do something with the guitar riff on Diddy’s “Bad Boy For life” Thanks for all your tips DJ Carlo Atendido, much appreciated!
Man im a starter and got my self a ddj 800 .. started just yesterday and your classes are amazing ☘️ maybe im not executing perfectly but in no time i understood many main things that allows me to create my own transitions aswell specially with getting to know how to use effects and some looping techniques.
@@stevebristow8412 hello steve, well to be honest i went to the store to buy the ddj 400 which is a good beginner set. While i was there i was talking to a friend of mine who is a Dj for the past 10 years with bit of experience. I shared with him the fact that i want to play one day in a club or at an event and his reply was to go for the ddj 800 because it outputs better sound quality (has better outputs) and looking at the controller the 800 looks better in material quality … not to forget when i tried it at the shop it was clear to me this is what i felt comfortable using( this is a matter of what you like to use or what you feel) .. but dont forget this piece is for around a 1000$ and you can use it to perform which can get u back the money in no time if u look to become a dj. Hope my feedback helps
Thanks for replying !! I’m from 1210 days. I still have my technics and next to those are cdj 800 mk2. No USB . So I’m coming from vynil and cd’s.. I’ve purchased the DJ cdj xz and that’s why I’m watching your clips “carefully” ! Incredible knowledge you have and many thanks 🙏
You are awesome Carlo. You helped me with Ableton a few years ago and here I am still gaining knowledge from you. I'd LOVE to see you do a course on how Sander Kleinenberg OR Roger Sanchez does a set. 🍀
Well, if you are watching DJ Snake @ Ultra Miami 2016, he used "Bounce" build up (a song by Mercer & 4B) as BPM transition, transitioning the previous song (it was "Make A Move [Skrillex Remix]" by Torro Torro) from 150 BPM to 130 BPM. Also he added filter to hide out the gap between BPM
@@djcarlo Thats probably why I find your videos even more helpful compared to a lot of others born and raised in kailua and you've been an amazing help!
Question. What computer will work better with serato DJ. Windows 10 or apple?. One more question, does NV numark and virtual DJ software work good together?
Im an old dj from the 70s just getting used to dj controllers so your tips and tricks are a bonus for me THANK YOU , cos at 66 it takes a little longer but practice makes perfect eh
@@Shkodo thanx george i really only bought ddj 400 controller as a hobby as i used to present my own programme as a hospital radio presenter and ii just thought now im retired i could maybye have some fun trying my own ideas but its deffo not good enough yet so ill keep working at it and who knows 😀
One thing I really have noticed with DJ snake is his DJ setup. I mean not many high profile artists go live with a pioneer mixer and 2 audio technics players with DVS vinyls. That’s just insane.
Flanger is just very short delay times with high feedback; as is phasing. The full definitions are more technical than that, but all time-domain effects - reverb, phase, flange, delay, echo - are kind the same in principle with varying amounts of feedback and delay lengths, filtering etc.
Sir i have a video suggestions Plz make a video on virtual dj It's a fact that most beginnier dj uses that software and very advance too Do you use it I also started build up intrest after virtul dj 🙏🙏
i just don't get what the fun is ... with just about EVERY edm dude the beat is gone every 32 bars , in a hour long set there's just about 30 min of beats. the rest is filled by 'airplanes and snares' .
Hehe, that was actually a track from my archives I put in so it wouldn't get flagged. I renamed it a while back though, so I can't remember its real title! Sorry!
