How DJOKOVIC did the UNTHINKABLE at US OPEN!
With a stunning victory at the 2023 US Open Final, Novak Djokovic secured his 24th Grand Slam title, beating Daniil Medvedev in a long intense match. There were times when the World No. 1 player seemed to be losing, especially in the longer second set. But his rise to glory on the hard court was nothing short of impressive.

I am disliking every video that refers to Djokovic as "one of the greatest" tennis players of all time. If you don't want to say the greatest, just say the most successful or the most decorated or whatever. Just don't call him "one of the greatest", that's an insult to Djokovic.

That's an insult to Djokovic? He is one of the greatest. No one can argue with that. I'm sick of everyone talking about his statistics. So he has 24 slams. He is not above the game of tennis, no one is, he is one of the greats, absolutely.

Novak Đoković is the ultimate alpha of the tennis world. He imposes his will on opponents and you just see all the belief being sucked out of them as the match goes on. This guy faced 40:15 against Federer on serve twice, and he actually had the audacity to smile. He is just different. People still don't get how he was able to conquer the tennis world the way he did, but history will be kind to him because his career seems like a myth, almost impossible to believe.

1) Hardly anything "unthinkable" about Djokovic's win. 2) Not "one of the greatest", but the single GREATEST tennis player of all time, by any and all metrics relevant to sports. 3) Margaret Court did NOT win 24 "Grand Slams" in the open era. She only won 11 in the open era, and still these 11 had much more limited draws (some as few as 24 players), while most of her "Australian Opens" were played against Australian players only. There's no need to bring her up, if not to diminish Djokovic's unprecedented achievement.

Djokovic has far bigger influence in modern tennis. See how many top player one handed backhand 20 years ago and now, same for serve and volley, net... The problem is since ever, media always used to mock Djokovic, pretending he is hated, he fakes injuries, etc. They keep repeting how bad is Djokovic, and how "elegant" is Federer, and some people think this is the only truth. I love Federer since i love tennis, but back then, he wasn't fairplay at all, and most of trashtalk towards Djokovic started from Federer (and Roddick). Remember at US Open 2011, when he pretends Djokovic wins thx to lucky move like an amateur... But Federer was so dominating that medias were full of praise. Also, lucky he is swiss and get really good sponsor like Rolex... that's a part of his popularity, because we could see him everywhere on ad... Djokovic deserves so much more credits for all the adversity he had to overcome... When he could equalize Federer and Nadal GC titles, medias only care about his COVID opinion... now he has 24, and only NOW he starts to get recognition beyond tennis. He is the GOAT for sure.

I think Nole will win two more grand slams next year and retire in about Australian open 2025 when age will catch up with him . That year he will be 38. If he continues to play for 2025 it's going to be hard for him to win tournaments because of age. His 36 now and though he won three grand slams this year and other trophies he struggled at times . @@zvonkosolin8627 The person who plays the sport the best ever, is the person who wins the most. Someone who won 100 slams would have to be playing the game at a level never seen in history, and that would be more impressive than anything Federer or Nadal have done.

No doubt Djokovic is very good at winning tennis matches ; but most of his opponents are ordinary ; the level in men's professional tennis is it's lowest since late 2019 ...... All the current are just back court thrashing players with very little variety in their games

Margaret Court didnt win all grand slams in open era, and is not tied with Djokovic. Its a last straw western media keeps are a hope can deny Djokovics dominance. Novody were mentioning her while Djokovic had nadal and federer in front of him. After he declined roger, equalized with rafa stefi graf was pushed out as better, but now, Margaret was pulled out, and that wont last long, next year he will cement that story once for all time. GOAT!

And to think that for an idiotic virologist, well known in Italy, Djokovic had ruined his career by refusing the antikovid vaccine...

Crazy that so many people still say “one of the greatest” when Federer accomplished only half of what Novak has accomplished he was already being called the greatest. 📞 🫳🏼
