I love automatically shuffling machines (ASM). They are faster than hand shuffles and create higher rounds per hour. I hate the continuous shuffle machines (CSM) which is what your describing 😂
Table games dealer here. That’s literally what they want, more hands dealt per hour. The faster we deal, the more money the casino makes. Hand shuffling is ideal for the player, which is why you’ll find it in high limit.

Well last time I checked, when the dealer shuffles the deck its the same thing. The cards don't get played in the same order. Which is why card counting is a 0 +1 -1 game. Using a high count or a low count to determine the probability of a low # or face card showing up. So this video was pointless cause card counting still works.
A running count gives you information relative to the remaining cards in the shoe. This is why players are incentivized to bet larger and make exploitative plays when there’s a high count; the shoe is running in favor of the player. This doesn’t work when the shoe is shuffled after every hand because the count wouldn’t be considered “running”. You’d essentially be restarting the count after every hand and therefor wouldn’t be able to use that information for future hands. For example, your first hand at a busy table ends with a running count of +5. Good right? No. This information is completely useless now that the dealer has shuffled, as all the low cards previously dealt will return back to the shoe. Card counting works based on card removal, the odds of a specific low card being dealt don’t decrease because it came out in a previous run. You’re perceiving the “running” count to be however much +\- after x amount of hands when in reality it always resets to 0.
Some have already stated that he means CSMs, not ASMs. CSMs stop counters and ASMs stop shuffle trackers. Well, they just move to a different casino without these machines.

card counters get all butthurt , but have they ever stopped to think about if the blackjack rules were equal for them and the house? no more mandatory hit on 16 stay on 17, the house dealer could split pairs and double down ? (potentially doubling the gamblers losses). it would be interesting to see a BJ game with those rules. card counters welcome, but remember the dealer is counting too.
