@@frostyapples7325 Really? When your car is understeering, your front is not going to get the corner so you will slide straight into the tree so you see it (Röhrl was a rally driver - therefore the tree). When your car is oversteering, you get past the corner with your front but the back of the car will slide off the track which means that you just hear the impact into the tree behind you because your back hits the tree.
@@frostyapples7325 If a car understeers, you turn the car, for say a 90o turn, it turns 20... and you hit whatever is in front of you, off the road...in this case a tree...but at least you see it... if the car oversteers you turn in for a 90 degree turn... it turns 110...at which point depending on the surface, you either lose the rear, and it hits the same tree as before....but you hear it not see it...or the rear holds, and spears you off the other side nose first, in to another tree, but so fast you still only know it when you hear the crash, rather than see it...because you're looking at the apex, even if the nose is not. Rorhl is a sage, sage, man!
Quattro Bitch! In 1997 mclaren used a 3 pedal system in the car, on the right the throttle, in the middle the front wheel brake ,and a small pedal on the left for the rear wheel brakes, this was a legal system for a while until Ferrari protested and the FIA banned it in 1998, it gave mclaren an advantage in the corners that couldn’t be matched without the separate brake pedals, it was ingenious. (If anyone wants to correct anything or expand on what I’ve said please feel free to)
90% of these drivers come from ridiculously rich families though lmao, Norris' dad is worth half a billion dollars and he invested in Mclaren as well (Mclaren also has a PR deal with the electric scooter company his dad co-owns in which is why you always see pics of Norris and Sainz on those scooters), Leclerc's uncle is one of the richest businessmen in Monaco and has been friends with the Monegasque royal family for a long time, Ricciardo's dad had a collection of vintage Ferrari cars when Ricciardo was a little kid. Yeah Stroll's dad bought Racing Point/Force India but it wouldn't have continued to exit had he not bc their team almost had to get out of F1 entirely and if we're being honest Lance is right at home among these people, most of them are rich and spoiled if we're being realistic, it's almost impossible to get into this sport if you don't have a lot of money unfortunately. Oh and Verstappen, Sainz and Magnussen all had dads who were drivers so naturally it was easier for them to maneuver the motorsports world and benefit from good connections with managers and financial backers and trainers and facilities and everything you need, which would be completely foreign to somebody from an average family. Connections are also huge in this sport. The only people on the grid this year who aren't from very rich families are Vettel, Hamilton and Giovinazzi. I don't feel sorry for rich kids who are slightly less rich than other rich kids lmao. They still grew up in mansions or on estates and it's far easier for them to "follow their dreams" bc they have access to all kinds of resources and opportunities and insider knowledge that the vast majority of people don't, who essentially are forced to play catch-up their entire lives bc they didn't have access to the same resources as kids. And I already see people starting to mock Latifi bc his dad invested in Williams, the same way that Norris' dad invested in Mclaren. So are we going to call Norris a "pay driver" now too bc his dad invested money in the team to help get him a spot? If we're really going to criticize rich people for tweaking things in their favour with money we should be consistent.
Either have parents that are already in the racing business, have extremely rich parents, or get extremely lucky to get scooped up by a team. Talent is obviously a factor but not as significant as money.
Stroll: some cars go faster than others. Maldonado: some drivers crash faster than others. Kimi: some drivers speak less than others. Vettel: some drivers need blue flags more than others Grosjean: some drivers are hit by Ericcson more than others. Bottas: some drivers hate James more than others. Magnussen: some drivers need to suck my balls more than others.
Yuri Zhizhin You do still need the super licence points required to race in F1. There is nepotism in Formula 1 for sure, but they’re still top flight drivers.
@@f1visionary866 oversteer is when you hear the tree: the rear steps away from you and hits the tree which you obviously can't see but hear. understeer is when you see the tree: Your front end steps away and hits the tree and because you're sitting at the front and looking ahead you'll see the tree. its really not that hard lmao
@@f1visionary866 It's about rallying. Oversteer = you hear the tree. It means that you go off the road sideways. And understeer = you see the tree. You try to turn away from the tree but your car just slides into it head on. I'm sure somebody knows how to explain this a lot better but I hope it helped anyway.
@@Lakitu886 it's still pretty confusing because you don't have to crash when you have oversteer and understeer? not the best explanation in my opinion, i think he just really wanted to quote the guy
I’m a young go cart driver. Once I saw Kevin Magnussen at a karting track riding with his nephew. At first everybody overtook him because he wasn’t focused on going fast but riding with his nephew but then... He hit the gas, zoom, zoom, and he was first place. He’s and amazing driver.
Maths teacher: Vettel English teacher: Hamilton PE teacher: maybe Bottas The teacher who doesn't care: Kimi (we should leave him alone, he knows what to do) The teacher who isn't already a teacher but he does a good job: Verstappen Art Teacher: Ricciardo Music teacher: Carlos Sainz (Smooth Operaaatoooooor) The guys next to me in the class: Lando Norris (the one who's obsessed on milk) and George Russel (the boy who had no choices) aaand there's me: the Fangirl one 😂
F1 media: so teams, we are ready to upload the video we shot with your drivers. You didn't change anything right? Red Bull: About that... F1 media: screw it, we are going live!
Ricky Rickalvous People still bitch about Ferrari team orders from the 2000s and Michael Schumacher hasn’t been in a red car for more than a decade. So yeah I think people are still going to talk about Hamilton and his teammates.
I have no doubts Lewis is talented as he has proved in less competitive cars. It’s just his cockiness to think he’s better than the rest nowadays which angers me when really it’s his car which makes it impossible for others to compete.
This was a very well edited and informative video. I bet it'll help lots of people new to the world of F1 be able to understand why we all love this sport. Good job guys!
Stroll was a good driver in the junior series. Remember he was the last driver before Mick Schumacher who won 3 straight races on one weekend. I'm just tired of these Anti-Stroll comments. The step to F1 from F3 was just to big for him. Yes I know Verstappen did the same, but he is a natural talent. Stroll is not a bad driver, but the others are better. When you can make jokes about him go try and be better.
@pim nas Don't forget to mention that Sainz was a different story. He was a good driver, but he wasn't kicked out of Red Bull because of that. He wasn't happy with Red Bull, and Red Bull wasn't happy with his reactions and especially his fathers reaction to the press. btw, I am not sure why you said he lost out to Gasly? Sainz was already hired to Renault as driver, and it was already determined he went to Mclaren before Ricciardo decided to quit. Technically, Sainz also left Red Bull. Otherwise Sainz would be a Torro Rosso driver again OR maybe he could even had the Gasly seat. But honestly Max and Sainz won't like to be team mates again. I am sure of that.
