Just switched from a planetary freecoaster to the Odyssey v2 Clutch, and love the Odyssey so far, not a single unexpected engagement or any surprises. Wish I had started with the Odyssey hub.
I just replaced my free coaster wheel it was happening the axle issues you were speaking of and causing a lot of play.. so I decided and spent the money and got the Garrett Reynolds Cinema wheels with the triple eight rims my praying I have a good ones lol
I love my fit freecoaster, she'll crankflip for days once it's dialed in.The trick is chain tension not too tight and just the right amount of light grease.1 year strong and still no problems.
14:13 When i got my Cinema FX freecoaster wheel the clutch was making a noise, when i got the wheel out the box, so i stripped the wheel down to fine hardly any grease in side it, and the bearings i had to replace aswell, and i had to put the hub in to full slack aswell, i like full slack no spacers in there take them out hope your good guys, stay Lux 👍
Thanks man !! I had so many problems with my wtp helix v3 straight of of the box.. tried to fix it several times until I got so frustrated that i smashed it with a sledgehammer and ordered the odyssey clutch v2 ... well at least I now know how to fix it, my friend has the same helix so I can now fix it 🤟🏼
Bro please help I've got a helix v3 and it has really inconsistent slack I greased it and it's still playing up I even bought another 3 slack rings and I regularly get more than 360 revolution on my cranks before it engages
Question. I hope you still respond I service all my lads coasters as I got a very good understanding. Except one part. Inside the drivers there’s 2 sealed bearings. Which is fine. Behind them is a Nylon bushing which sits on the axle. Does the nylon bushing need grease between the nylon and the axle. Or does it need to stay dry?
Grease it or spray it with teflon oil if you want to crankflip easier but then the hub might need to be opened up and serviced more bc of the lighter oil and it leaking out eventually. What kinda coaster hub you got, the westcoaster or cortex v1?
That can be very tricky, depending on the situation inside the hub.Send an email to Help@luxbmx.com and we will be able to solve your specific issue for you. 🤘
I just re greased by cinema FX2 freecoaster hub and I’m running into issues with resistance. I tightened the non drive side cone nut and finally the drive side cone nut. Hub feels extremely rough until I loosen the drive side cone nut and it runs smooth (finger tight binds and is rough) should I run this side loose or tight?
I’ve noticed a lot of pros would rather have a fuck ton of slack so when they do a huge ass 180 off of something massive their shit has no chance of engaging for landing backwards
Hi there, I've an issue with my éclat Cortex FC, my hub has play between the driver and the inner race of the drive side bearing, is a problem there or thats a normal thing, I was about 3 month riding with it only. Thanks for your video too.
