17 year old rescued gorilla, Adjibolo, is utilising her pool and leaves to keep herself cool on a hot Cameroonian day! ☀️
Adjibolo arrived at the Limbe Wildlife Centre in 2007 - she had been confiscated from a hunter who had been trying to sell her. It is almost certain that Adjibolo saw her mother and family killed for bushmeat so that she could be sold into the illegal pet trade. She now has a second chance at life, living with other gorillas, and receiving the daily care and attention she needs. Primates are NOT pets. Western lowland gorillas are Critically Endangered - meaning they are at risk of extinction due to human activities such as hunting and habitat destruction. You can support their protection and care by donating to the Limbe Wildlife Centre.
