Please note you can buy Showbaby DMX tranceivers and it will work perfect with multi universe set up as they can be assigned to only "listen| to certain transmitters so for example red assignement is uni 1 then green assignment is uni 2 and so on. they are color coded to listen to that specific color. but you need to have a dmx port or a arnet setup for each universe

Hey there, so as a solo stage performer, I'm looking for ways that I can remotely control tech from the stage, ideally invisibly, during a performance. For sound, there's quite a few professional set-ups that allow a click to affect pre-set sound. As a novice when it comes to understanding lighting tech, are there any solutions available to me? Ideally I can buy some tech, take it to a venue (assuming the venue is a small theatre with a lighting desk), plug it into the desk and then control lighting via an app or laptop set-up. Is this at all possible? Is LightShark what I should look into. Thanks in advance for any help :)
I enjoy watching your videos. I have a question that I hope you can help me figure out. I have a scene setter 48 hardware console and I want to control dmx512 (1 universe) using esp32s built into each light effect. I can use a program like photon(sacn) on my iPad but I want to continue using my 48 channel board. I can’t find any answer on google. I also own donner wireless trancievers but I don’t want to use them on this project. Can you direct me to a website or explain what you would use. I thought of using a dmxking edmx1 from the console but I’m stuck there
This might be a dumb question, but I'm still learning about DMX for event lighting, and couldn't find a clear answer online - I understand that if you're using more than 32 fixtures in a daisy chain with DMX cabling, it is best to use a DMX splitter. However, does this also apply to wireless fixtures on the same frequency? We have up lights with built in wireless receivers, and it seems not all of them are consistently receiving the wireless signal from the transmitter connected to the console (sometimes I will have to send the cue twice, of turn specific fixtures off and on again). Would it be beneficial to use a splitter and two transmitters on different frequencies at all though they aren't really daisy chained in the same way? Or it is possible the issue lies more in something like the transmitter range or fixtures themselves? Thanks!
Hey, This depends on what wireless DMX devices you are using, some cheaper ones just can't keep up unfortunately but it might be worthwhile to have more than one transmitter.
