Hey I have question I'm from India and I'm currently studying in class 11 this year. My question is. If I apply for MEXT after finishing my 12th board then I'll have to waste my 1 year doing nothing and get called to study in Japan after 1 year????? Is there any way I can apply when pass the class 11th then I'll be able to go in Japan next year the very time I pass 12th!! And tell me which subjects I have to focus on from now on to get this scholarship?? I have opted commerce in 11. Is it compulsory to give math and japanese exam?? Is it so difficult or easy to get this scholarship?? What things I should do so I can ensure that I'll get my scholarship 2 year later

Can we apply through both the paths, for example :if our application doesn't get accepted through the embassy-recommended path then can we try for the university-recommended path later when it starts ?
Hi, Haven’t come across a rule that says you can’t. I suggest you give it a shot. The application for embassy recommendation starts in summers while for university recommendation, it’s usually at the end of the year so you’d know your results of embassy recommendation before the application of university recommendation even starts. I guess it’s a good idea to take that chance!
