Ik Hou Van Holland . . . . . .🌷♚🌷 According to my personal opinion that Dutch language is between English, German and Swedish. Basically, Holland is a small country in West Europe but it's so amazing, special and powerful one especially in Economy, Technology and Sport. I speak English, German, Dutch, Javanese and Indonesian in daily life. Why Dutch language ? Because of our country Indonesia is one of Dutch colony in South East Asia. So Dutch is well known here. As France, UK, Germany and Italy, our country Indonesia is a member of G20 too. 🌏🌎🌍

Really? The French don’t know that the Dutch speak Dutch? What are they teaching the French during the geography classes about their European neighbors? 🫤

I always thought the Netherlands were one of the most liberal and open countries in Europe. Seems to be a myth too. I was shocked that the rightwingers won so many votes.

Then you clearly dont know Dutch politics. Dutch right wing is still more left than US democrats..

@@seppa193 Oh really? Geert Wilders seems to be very right wing. BTW I am not American!

@@henriettejosephineNo, he isnt. He is anti mass immigration which can be regarded as right wing. But then again the Danish socialist party has the same opinion. Social economically he is left, like the Dutch socialist party. He supports poor people. In time of great inflation his party even paid groceries for people in supermarkets. And I didnt think you were American, just assumed that most people will probably know more about US politics than Dutch politics.

@@seppa193 I see! So why did he build a coalition with all the right wing parties?
@seppa193
@seppa193 3 месяца назад
@@henriettejosephine there are no right wing parties. BBB is a farmers party, NSC are christian-democrats and VVD is conservative (but libdem under Rutte). This coaltion will try to reduce the mass immigration, as well as start cleaning up the terrible mess that Rutte made in the last 10+ years.

I'm English and living in Brittany. The locals dont care much for the Dutch tourists. They arrive with all their food and spend as little as possible when they are here. Typically camp because its cheap. A Dutch guy used to go to my shooting club and was always clashing with the guy who managed it. It got bad. I told him he was our Dutch Uncle and not to take him seriously .... He just thinks he knows more about everything than anyone else. That made Roger laugh and he didnt take Jan seriously after that.

What's wrong with an affordable holiday? People usually don't go on vacation just to spend a whole lot of money. They go on vacation to relax and have a good time. I'd rather go multiple times per year without breaking the bank than once every 2 years because it's too expensive.

As a "Hollander" from Haarlem, my heart bled when you said that Amsterdam could be called the capital of Holland. No, the capital of North-Holland is Haarlem and the capital of South-Holland is The Hague. Which is also the seat of government (and a lot of international courts and organisations). Amsterdam is ONLY officially the capital because the coronation of the King/Queen takes place there. De facto The Hague is where all the embassies are.

Haarlem is the capital of Noord Holland ? (i am asking, i was in Driehuis last month)

Amsterdam IS the capital of Holland. Holland is NOT North-Holland plus South-Holland, but the Netherlands. The whole country. Strange you don't know that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ErsKgjaEXA0.html The Hague is the seat of government, NOT the capital. The two are not the same, as you say yourself by correctly calling Amsterdam "officially" the capital (which of course means it IS the capital, because there can only be one capital in any country).
