How do police track phones without a warrant?
Cell phone tracking and seizure has become an indispensable part of law enforcement but how do police do it legally and swiftly? For the past few years, law enforcement agents have been using Stingrays. These expensive devices actually pose as a nearby cell tower so that phones connect directly to them. Much like a man-in-the-middle attack over the Internet, stingrays intercept your phone without any warning or indication. This allows location tracking and eavesdropping of conversations unbeknownst to any parties on either end.
We’ve seen stories involving police abusing such devices for personal use as well as stories of stingray use without any legal warrants issued. Privacy and security advocates have been warning citizens for years and corrupt cops have been disciplined and fined for violating rights. So what are military, government and law enforcement agents increasingly turning to in order to deal with cell phones in a fast and legal way?
Advanced handheld cell phone locators have become an indispensable tool for security teams, technical surveillance countermeasures, private investigators, and even corrections officers around the world. These passive devices detect the strongest RF signatures from all nearby smart phones and display those parameters so that security experts can react immediately to any text, voice or data transmission. This means that tactical teams no longer need to wait for court issued warrants in order to detect, track and locate criminals in the midst of a crime.
The more advanced detectors can even discern between cellular, WiFi and Bluetooth signals by displaying their frequencies, channels and signal strengths and time stamping all activity to monitor usage patterns. By measuring both continuous wave and demodulated signal strength, these wireless tools allow security experts to see rogue access points, Bluetooth skimmers and any wireless devices or bugs used for spying or stealing data.
Learn more about these law enforcement tools on our website.

BAN TRACKING OF CARS OR INDIVIDUALS because this can open the gates to further targeting and discrimination. This can lead to the one being tracked becoming a victim in a number of different ways that can include discrimination, prejudice and being treated with unequality if the tracker makes contacts to others lets say a dance club, restaurant or fast food place. If any of those and other places even a bank learns that a certain person who never broke any law is being tracked, that place may not want that person to visit his or her place of business and the one being tracked may fall a victim to further targeting leading to discrimination and set ups so the victim stops visiting such places. This is actually real and may happen to anyone being tracked that is why tracking of people who never broke a law MUST BE BANNED. SIGN THIS INTO LAW TODAY.

No longer need to wait for court issued warrants"... In the US, the Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution states that they MUST. "In order to detect, track, and locate criminals...". No, those are INNOCENT citizens. Criminals are what they're called only AFTER they have been properly convicted of a crime in a court of law. They may be suspects at the point of detection, tracking and locating, but they are merely a suspects, innocent in the eyes of the law until PROVEN guilty. Not a moment before.
@Bvsystems

There are several ways to track suspects. Some require court-issued warrants and some do not. You can physically follow someone without a warrant and you can also receive and measure the RF energy from their device without a warrant. That's the workaround that is being highlighted in this video.

@@Bvsystems I have to ask, I saw something sketchy to down. Can cops bug your phone using third party software? Simply by plugging in your phone? They may not even need any devices but simply plugging in your phone and bugging it with vulnerabilities discovered and hidden by third party companies? There are similar exploits in use by police agencies with better funding $
@Bvsystems
@Bvsystems 2 года назад
@@johnnylego807 Cops are not savvy enough to exploit zero day bugs by themselves nor are they installing spying malware onto devices but they will pay hackers that can build simple devices to pull data off phones easier by exploiting some of those bugs. There are several legal and illegal ways to get data off of phones which police use regularly, especially if their precinct has already purchased hardware or subscribed to a hacking service. The legal ways involve warrants and working with Apple or Google. Other less legal ways involve companies like Cellebrite or Pegasus spyware which can destroy the chain of evidence for legal proceedings but can also give cops all they need to make an arrest.

@Bvsystems
@Bvsystems 2 года назад
There are many ways to track phones without phone numbers or IMEI numbers. Some involve legal or illegal interaction with the phone's internal GPS, some involve triangulation through the phone's Wi-Fi connection to nearby APs, she involve spoofing nearby cellular towers (Stingray) and some involve hacking into a phone's connection to a cloud service such as Apple's Find My. All of these are illegal in most instances without a warrant and some are illegal even with one. Our products only locate and track phones based on their RF signal strength which is totally legal and does not even require warrants or court orders to perform. Our customers are generally searching for phones where none should be so that makes it easy, fast and legal to find these phones because they tend to stick out (prisons, wilderness SAR, border security, secure facilities, SCIFs, etc.)

Not really. There are lots of ways to legally get around constitutional law. Some of them involve imminent danger and some are just legal loopholes. This video is a combo of both.

How the fuck do you no longer need to wait for a warrant?
@Bvsystems
@Bvsystems 2 года назад
Warrants protect the chain of evidence for legal proceedings but sometimes law enforcement only wants to learn something or send a message to suspects so they do not bother with a warrant. Of course just scanning the area for cellular signals does not require any kind of warrant because it does not reveal any information that is not already public.

@@Bvsystems I see clear signs of being monitored. I don't need to do a check to verify but my worry is that the job sites I visit also show clear signs of someone playing with it. This should be illegal, do they want to compromise access to information or something? Crazy behavior online. How can I deal with this?

I hope this technology is used more for good than for evil. For example, these tools can be VERY useful for tracking criminal hackers that are very good at hiding their IPs and navigating places like the deep web for example. The problem is, it's not really illegal to access places like such. However, the problem is, since so many hackers can use said places (for example) anonymously, HIGHLY illegal activity happens on there. It's not all just illegal selling, (if you know I mean) murd3r and t0rture happen there too and "most" of them never get caught. They also hack, rob and steal data too. Not to mention illegal bounty hunters and hit--men. I personally never accessed such a horrible part of the net myself, for obvious reasons. I want to stay the he11 away from there. But I've heard of stories from people who made that very terrible mistake. I hope police use this equipment for good. To actually capture criminals, criminals like them. Not spy on everyone. We already have people who do that. They're called agencies in our Government. *_"The entities"_* if you will. They probably have more than we know, if not everything. They probably can't spy on millions of people's texts, calls, emails, posts and activity all at once, but it's probably accessible to them at all times without the need of a warrant, legal precautions or without us knowing. And they get away with it because they're higher up agencies. There's plenty of them to where they do the job probably more than we think. Our military and 1st responders are the only few branches of Government I actually trust, but I know every place has their fair share of bad apples. That's why I hope that if these devices do get put into use by police everywhere, they use it with good intentions of tracking down criminals that mean very bad business. If so is not the case, I hope the equipment, at LEAST has the ability to track both not only criminal cyber activity, but also how it's being used. So that way it can track whether it's being used for the right or wrong reason. I'm sure most cops besides for maybe a few bad apples, don't want to do the Government's dirty work. The higher up branches already do one he11 of a job with that not just in our country, but worldwide too aswell. At the end of the day, I hope their goal is one thing, putting cyber criminals like hackers behind bars, or possibly worse depending on what they've done. Not be betrayed our privacy. I really hope that's not the case. Because there's alot of potential in this equipment and how can can be used with benefits, but there's also alot of security threats and risks of it being taken advantage of too aswell at the same time.
