well supposedly this feature will likely be changed for gta vi since allegedly cops will be programed to track not only the vehicle color, but the license plate
@@mauricehamilton4025 perhaps banking on custom plates being a proper single player feature than just using the old ifruit app (which is dead now) to make plates for your cars in single player
I feel like it doesn't really matter anyways, nobody evades the cops in GTA 5 by respraying the car. I feel like most people don't even know you can do it lol
In the older gta’s you had to wait until the wanted level stopped flashing if you did anything before it stopped flashing you got the wanted level back.
I think in GTA San Andreas, pay n spray was designed to evade police, as in a mission it is clearly stated that you can evade police by entering pay n spray
Cops will forget about you if you change your clothes in San Andreas as well. There are some exceptions, like more minor clothing items, but I do believe most clothes and haircuts will throw them off your trail. You can either do this at clothing stores/ barbers, or at your home once you have enough clothing options.
Or in gta 5 story mode park in a bush and get out then back in this way you will get a bug so the cops never know what car your in so unless you litterly pass them on the road they will have a hard time finding you
You forgot about the blinking stars, they are suspicious of you and u can get your previous felony level by a minor infraction. I forget wich gta they started that in. VC maybe SA
@@oinkerdapig6293the thing is, if you notice, a lot of these youtubers tend to compare basic things in each game to demonstrate how the world reacts to the player. vcs and lcs share a lot of mechanics taken from 3, vc and sa (the same goes with tlad and tbogt because they are only dlc's) that's why you never see them, even though they have newer mechanics or have a lot more content than the 3d trilogy. maybe the guy can't play those games or doesn't know how, although i don't know why not include the og gta's and chinatown wars. it can also be time limit, only 1 min allowed in 'shorts' format.
@@VersaceJS There are two reasons for this. Firstly, as you rightly mentioned, there's the 60-second rule for shorts, which prevents me from including all GTA games in videos. Secondly, I record footage from my computer, and unfortunately, games like GTA VCS and LCS don't have pc versions available.
Though in 5 you don't actually need to paint the car, you can just wait in the workshop for a minute or two and the stars will go away, you may also hear the sound effect for losing the cops while in the workshop
If the cops don't find you that is. In fact they can surround the paint shop while you're in there and nothing will happen. As soon as you respray, wanted level, GONE.
@@New_account89 That is true, I forgot about the cops surrounding the outside of the workshop and waiting for you. Happened to me a couple of times. It's a nice touch that they added the respray = wanted level gone back in V. Only time will tell if GTAVI will have the same.
Hopefully GTA 6 would be like Mafia where there's seperated wanted level for the car and the character. Also changing the color of the car doesn't get rid of the wanted level, but changing your license plate does
in earlier games, changing your car colour to have cops not recognize you was considered a feature. it was a mechanic present in games other than GTA, like Need for Speed Most Wanted in 2005.
This hack was necessary in the older games since you can’t evade the cops there were unlimited police spawning unless you found a star icon GTA 4 and 5 the pay and spray were unnecessary as you could evade the line of sight of the police
In San Andreas though you can, just head to the countryside, desert or remote areas, time after time, wanted level will decrease. Well, in IV and V, some players either find it hard losing cops or are in a hurry so Pay N Spray is quite necessary.
Or you could beat any mission, like in "Sir, Yes Sir" in Vice City Also if you go really fast you'll at one point lose them, or if you start a gang war (in mobile/definitive edition you just lose them, in pc and ps2 you lose them as time goes on)
One of the most useless things in my childhood was pay and spray, I always used the remove wanted level ps2 cheats. Felt like I was diffusing a explosive device 😂
Looks like Los Santos is where all the fun is at. SA and V, both are teeming with customization features. 3 and 4 not much, VC is somewhere in between. What if GTA 6 also lacks features compared to V?
In GTA Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories, when entering Pay N Spray, the cops won’t recognize you after paid for the repair and repaint, like GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas
