I think you underestimate just how many crevices and spaces gold flakes can accumulate in shoes. on the other hand socks are cheap and usually cotton, easy to replace and collect from. I'd rather go through a pair of socks a day than destroy multiple pairs of shoes. And barefoot is right out. it's difficult to see gold flakes on lighter skin and it's easy to just walk out with product on ones feet as it'll adhere due to the moisture on them.

@@Azothify indeed but they honestly can just wear rubber boots that have no crevices. It's a luxury to just sit around as a worker in flip flops and socks. If it was a very clean place with proper gear all they would have to do is just sweep up the gold flakes or vacuum them. I would like to guess how much gold is stolen or hidden in this type of operation as if it doesn't happen.

@@Eye2Eye24 they could. But I can safely say I'd rathe go through this than wear rubber boots all day, the sweat and grossness would be off the chart and very uncomfortable.
