By hearing you I feel CA is like metro cities in India and Texas like cities / towns of various states in India. Metros are crowded, costly, neighbours don't visit to each other etc and in cities or small towns there are lot of space, things are cheap, lot of interactions between the neighbours.

yes, actually noone would choose any of them(tornadoes\ earthquakes) but tornadoes is better coz you get the siren sound it will make us alert, earthquake we can't tell about it

I live in Bayarea and CA has very distinct Spring and Fall. They are awesome. Interns scenic beauty CA is excellent. I understand living in Dallas has its own advantages.

People here follow traffic rules!!!!! No way. Try driving towards Fort Worth on I 35 or 114. And if you go to Houston, traffic their is worst than LA during peak hours

Looks like you are specifically trying to compare LA with Dallas Texas and not CA in general with whole of Texas, but your title says otherwise. Northern California has a very rich Indian community. You should try visiting Fremont, San Jose… Buddy is super cute and l love watching the furry friend channel. Buddy likes it better there because the house you are currently in has grassy area and you are very close to the park. If you get a house that has both pool and grass in CA or any other place he would be the happiest. I have 2 dogs and I live in CA. My both the dogs absolutely love it here. Endless hiking spots, beaches, park here . We moved from India and did not know anyone here prior to coming. Now we have number of friends both from Indian and non Indian community, and they are now our family far away from home. It is sad that you stayed here for 10 years and still could not make Indian Friends.. Anyways everyone has there own perspective about things places etc. it may work nicely for some and not for all..since many people who do not have first hand experience of both the places can get influenced by your experience. Better to communicate such differences more responsibly..💕

Thanks for commenting, I agree my review was LA vs Dallas and i forgot about SF which has more desi community. But that was only one point. Also, there is no right and wrong of living in CA, it is just a personal preference (i still love CA) :)

Compared to CA, property tax is very high in TX. Average property tax rate in CA is .73% Average property tax rate in TX 1.80%

Agree with you that property tax is higher in TX than CA but it is not what you mentioned. It is more like 1.3% in CA, and 2.5% in TX.

Looks like u live in a good area in Dallas.. otherwise, people drive very rashly.. Weather became like this now, it wasn’t like this before.. Also property taxes are double than California, too high! But u r right, u don’t feel lonely in Texas.. California is beautiful but we always felt very lonely there in LA..

Rain is better, I moved to Las Vegas suburbs and there is a draught all year round and no good Indian food. Winters are so cold and summers extreme hot!!

I feel texas is better than california as the weather is good sometimes we feel this place is too windy to stay but there are other good qualities of Texas as traveling is cheap and etc.But even california is good but I feel texas is better than it. Hi Sushil, we didn't have any option of choosing, we only had coserv in our area. I guess we use electricity than others hence our bill is lower than others.

isn't tx energy during winters are concern. I know some friends lost power during the freeze in the last two winters. Also why would you need to run sprinklers that too in CA when they issue a warning not to because of drought?

No, after the freeze of 2021 TX energy board learnt its lesson and doing better to avoid power cuts. We haven't seen any in our last 2 winters. CA never issued a warning to not run sprinklers (when we were there), it was a drought state for sure but no warning was issued to not run sprinklers. Everyone run sprinklers there.
