People commenting here worried at age 34 they've got dementia: remember, she said it's not just forgetting your keys and names: it's forgetting what keys are for; and forgetting who a person is. Forgetfulness vs Dementia = Big difference!
@@charleyycarmensitamoreno875 My eldest son is 39 and has a lot of responsibility. He says he can be forgetful, but he rarely gets enough sleep as his health plays up and he has a toddler. I have a 37 year old son too and he says he can be forgetful. Don't be too worried at 37 though. I am an oldie now and I constantly forget where my glasses are ha. I get very easily stressed sometimes (I don't sleep at night though) and I do forget some names now. That is a bit scary. I am a bit concerned for my husband though as he seems to be slipping a bit (he still works) and he has always paid the bills and totally on time but we got a bill the other day he hadn't paid and they had made it a double payment of over $1000. That is kind of scary. So I will have to remind him or pay the bills myself. He has lots of explosions of mood and has fallen out of bed a couple of times. His mother got dementia but she was alive until 92. However I will have to keep an eye on both of us. With Jesus return to our generation though I don't suppose it is worth freaking over (dementia). I notice my sister is losing the plot too as she has told me she sees faces and cannot remember who they are now who speak to her. She is impossible to cope with.
@@agungyoga4520 ...don't worry Agung yoga you are very young. It doesn't usually hit people until maybe 30s but mainly 50s onwards. Are you getting sleep? Are you stressed? They can affect people badly. I should say Jesus Christ heals people if they turn to Him alone (not to religions). I am praying for my husband and I too to be healed but we are oldies. Turn to Jesus (not any religion as they have false gods). Jesus gives eternal life in heaven to people who say sorry for sin (as sin is in all humans so we cannot please God) and your name goes into the Lamb's Book of Life (Jesus book) for eternal life in heaven, and the bible turns supernatural once a person repents of being a sinner and says sorry to God (if they are serious about it) and reads His Word the bible. He speaks to humans through the bible (it comes alive) but only to those who are sorry for sin and follow Jesus.
Here's the way I see it. If I lose my car keys and then find them later, that's normal aging. If, when I find my car keys, I have no idea what they are and what they are used for, that's a problem.
When my mom started showing signs it took me a moment to realize they had dementia, then recently her dr said she just has Alzheimer’s. It all started with my mom forgetting how to use a tv remote that she would get up everyday until that morning, to turn on the TV.
Can there be a gene test to find out if you have Alzheimer's disease. My great grandfather had it, we never got to see if his child my grandmother got it as she passed away young from cancer, but I think my father may be getting it. He's in his 60s. I'm 34 and at times I forget things but i just put that under stress. I did a fun thing at the start of the year where I would write all my fun memories and put them in a jar to read out at the end of the year, some things i remembered but i couldn't believe I couldn't remember my sons birthday in January. I was reading how he had his forth birthday and didn't get to blow his candles out because it was so windy. And it just shattered me that i couldn't remember it. I even forgot my wedding anniversary.
Stress or no sleep? However I did read (I think it must've been on BBC news a while back) that dementia or alzheimers can't remember) (ha excuse the pun)... is happening to much younger people now.
That's not normal. Even though I've been divorced for 40 years I remember my Wedding date. Also my 3 kids (one deceased) I most certainly will always remember their birth date. In fact I even remember their birth TIME. I lost my daughter last year to alcohol at 52 but I'll always remember both the day she was born and the day she passed. No we ain't supposed to outlast our kids but we have no say regarding THEIR bad choices in life.
@@miljascepanovic6891 i'm 25, and i have same symptoms with alzheimer, i didn't have the chance to see a doctor yet. The only difference is that my head hurts everyday. i don't know if this is alzheimer or what. T_T
My grandfather had Alzheimer Disease and one way we helped him around the house was we put signs everywhere like "shut the door" "do not turn on the stove" "keep light off". This helped him until he was unable to read but he was bedridden by that stage. We wanted him to have freedom for as long as he could and the signs really helped!
@@thishanreddy5789 in regards to major depression and my experience having it. As stated by the person Sevier memory loss an other mental problems. The solution is Jesus you may not wont to hear that but it is true as he has cured me and i do feel down somtimes but it's not the same as depression. The only reason im still alive is because God saved me from my it, long story short pride and depression took over my life i did not want to give it up i hated the pain but i loved the feeling it gave wich i can't describe because i dont know how so for meny year's it was a struggle to live but one day i gave up my pride and asked Jesus to heal me and instantly I was healed and i knew i was because it felt like a weight was lifted and after that my thoughts and words and actions started to change. Mentally im still recovering because it scared me I try to be compassionate and sympathetic with people but it's vary difficult so I've been praying to God to help me also it affected me physically wich some of them which Jesus healed me of such as my back and feet. Compared to the detail i could go into this is short. Sorry if it seemed long. Also Jesus loves you, if you have not come to him for salvation and would like to please tell me and i would be thrilled to help you. But to put it simple ask God to forgive you of your sins and to save you and tell him that you believe he died an rose again and that you except his free gift of salvation. People and the devil will try and make you doubt That you are saved and if you experience that tell me and ill try to help you.
Another sign: especially in men: ANGER. First sign we noticed in our dad. Anger due to having less of a filter on emotions, also anger from frustration knowing secretly something is wrong; and not being in control like they used to be. This is especially true for men because they are least likely to ask for help or risk appearing vulnerable -- at least in their minds "weak."
oh that is 100 percent true. My husband gets in such rages but he is on many different pills for things too. However I do wonder if he is on the road to dementia. It can take ages to manifest so that it's easily recognisable in other things too though. He still works and has to retain many rules and regulations in his job. I wonder how long he can keep it up.
Yep. My father-in-law got snippy with my kids for no good reason. I had to bring it up to my mother-in-law multiple times that I suspected dementia and that she needed to get him checked. She just ignored it. It wasn't actually till she passed away that WE took him to get checked and an MRI basically confirmed what we already knew. He had Alzheimer's.
We are the final generation to Jesus return now too and the tribulation is hurtling towards us which will be worse than anything the world has ever seen. All the disasters now are birthpains. Nothing much matters now except people getting saved and born again as Jesus says, if humans want to avoid hell at death and get eternal life in heaven. Jesus isn't coming to be nice this time at His return. Many believe the pre tribulation rapture is almost upon us too.
I am a Physical Therapist and I am trying to inform as many people as I can about Alzheimer’s and Dementia. I have a video on my channel about forgetfulness, memory, and the difference between normal aging & dementia. Let’s keep up the good work and keep these videos coming!
My dad got frail looking and would get angry when he could not remember something or get in traffic. He would hit himself in the head. He never acted this way but was never checked for Alzheimer disease. He already passed but could that have been something he might have had?
I'm so sorry. What you described sounds something similar to what I'm going through with family members. I have suspicions of it being Alzheimer's. I am going to get my family checked out as well. May your dear dad rest in peace.
I honestly don't want to tell anyone this but OK. At 43 I have gotten lost several times, driving places I've been know like the back of my hand. And had no idea where I was, it was like I'd never seen or been there before. Like grew up 30+ yrs in Fort Worth TX area and 820 loop around Fort Worth 4 months ago driving to see my daughter in law got lost.. Had no idea where I was or what 820 was? I stopped and just cried thinking OK 820 820 I know this, but took me 2 hrs to remember. Anyway a 2 hr drive took me 8 hrs. And I have blocks of just blacked out memory blocks, where I used to could remember all 3 cc numbers all my bank acct info, my mind was extra sharp. But last 3 yrs I've lost 20% of vocabulary words, names of fucking thungs we use everyday and literally don't know or remember songs. That were like played daily for years that were favs of mine??!? I haven't told my Dr I'm sure she'd send me some wierd psychogist after she has a cow.. How do I tell someone this? #scared only 48 this year What does this mean 😢
krazyskibunney please go see a doctor, I have someone close who’s starting to have memory problems and it’s scary, forgets family members have passed then a hour later remembers, goes to the shops and forgets what they went for and they only in their 30s, awaiting a mri scan.
@@funeveryday1242 I've got like blocks of nothing just balck when I try to recall some memories, hwo to spell which this shouldn't even be an issue. One day I was going to friend's house and it's 10mins from me. But started freaking out hysterical didn't know where I was? Omg it was horrible.

This is so interesting. I am dyslexic and almost never can remember names or dates. My family members are all the same but none have ever had dementia. The problem solving point is a good tip
If you had a TBI (traumatic brain injury) there is usual residual memory problems, therefore, some of these younger people could be having difficulty because of that which is often missed by physicians. Also memory loss can be caused from CTE, Lyme disease, and Bartonella.
The moment when I realized my mom had something seriously wrong was when my dad called to ask me for the recipe for goulash because mom couldn't remember how to make it. Lots of her other behaviors came into focus at that moment and I felt like I had been gut punched.😢😢
As you said my problem is I can remember but 5 minutes later I can’t remember I can think of something on Google when I get there I can’t even remember why or what I was going to search for and I get so frustrated
Alzheimers is chronic and degenerative. It will start slowly and the person might have no discernable symptoms for years. However once the disease becomes more mature, parts of the brain will start to die / malfunction affecting memory, movement, speech, planning and execution or a multitude of these. Once the disease has become very established, people start to loose their ability to interact and become totally dependant. Called it senile if you want. It's basically the end, just enjoy a person as much as you can before that time comes and be with them all the way. If it's frightening for you, the observer, imagine how frightening it is for the person suffering from it.
Well you know if you can't remember what you had for breakfast, when you find doing your household accounts is ridiculously difficult, and when your beautiful wife who you pledged your soul to sixty years ago, walks into the room, and you are not quite sure who she is, though you know you know her well.
Tim Flippance I can't remember what I did a specifik day for example the weekend. All of my memories are becoming my dreams! Thats the only thing that I remember clearly and vividly.
They do not realize that they have a "problem". We realize it but they do not. My spouse developed Vascular Dementia. Probably from ongoing hypertension. I used to check her numbers and they were through the roof but she refused to see a doc for years. I knew her for 30 years and I think she saw her PCP 3 times. She despised docs and I thought this was very surprising after having 4 children. Yeah its mostly males that don't like Docs because they think they're invincible. So sad. Everyone needs to see a PCP beginning at least annually by 30 years old. Get some blood work, check your pressure, Lipid panel, urine, stuff like that. Simple stuff early in life can help to stave off more serious stuff later on.
Alison Stephenson Exactly the reason you dont want to put in nh imagine they dont rem and you put in w strangers. how can you be sure they are safe well cared for? you cant’ pain pills valuables disappear yeah illkeep mom w me
My great-grandmother had Alzeimers abd passed away from Alzeimers in 2005 when I was almost 17, and now my grandmother (who I live with as her caregiver) also has beginning Alzeimers.
My husband began to say I don't remember yesterday... last year. Or few minutes ago..... turned out her hand a brain cancer. Sooo it could be something other than alzheimers, dementia...

My dad has Alzheimer's and he's in a carehome he looked after me when I got stabbed and had a brain tumor now he's got Alzheimer's and it so hard I go to see him every day to visit him and give him his paper's I sit with him for about a hour each time now I'm starting to feel not to good my doctor has told me that I don't have to visit every day and spend some time on myself but I can't stop thinking about him even if I do try to get away from thing's I feel like I've let him down
I legit keep on putting stuff in the wrong place and every time I finish washing dishes, I place the spoon in the wrong place same with the sponge. so, do I have Dementia?
It’s good to understand symptoms, but, while there are multi pronged causes... it is best to refuse aluminum laden vaccinations, if you want to do one thing to avoid this condition... then there are other environmental poisons to avoid and nutritional deficiencies to consider.
Vaccinations do not cause mental side effects, they go through very rigorous testing before they get approved. Also injecting aluminum into your blood, whole not good, certainly won't cause Alzheimer's because it is a genetic disorder due to aggregation of Tau proteins in the brain. It's important to know about these things before spreading misinformation online.
Kavin Ravichandran look at thevresearch of Chris exley ... you are making assumptions without investigating whether your statement is true... the WHO, in December of 2019 recently held a summit at which they clearly admitted that the long term research regarding vaccines is lacking
@@OfftoShambala OfftoShambala Much of Dr Exley's research has been retracted because they don't meet the standards for scientific validity. If you read his papers you will find that most of his test subjects are from a small sample size and are mostly anecdotal in nature. He has very little qualitative or statistical data to back up his claims, which are crucial for supporting claims like this. If there is evidence that connects vaccines with mental disorders that's important. But you said there is limited research regarding vaccines and autism, that's not true. I would suggest looking at the study Taylor et al. 2014, which is a meta analysis of several papers that's studied MMR vaccination and autism. It's probably the most comprehensive study done yet and it takes data from several countries, and individuals vaccinated and non vaccinated over decades. They found that there was no difference in the occurance of autism between vaccinated and non vaccinated people.
@@OfftoShambala plus the autism vaccination myth has probably been spurred by the fact that autism was not well recognized or diagnosed before the 1990s, so the increase in autism is due mostly to diagnostic changes. If an autistic person visited a psychiatrist in the 70s or 80s they would say he suffers mental retardation, because little was known about autism spectrum disorder then.
dementia is an umbrella term. It means many different things. But there are similarities in all the things under the umbrella. Like memory loss, cognitive disfunction, etc. Dementia points to different illnesses like Alzheimer's, but that doesn't mean that when you have dementia you immediately have alzheimer's.
I probably don't have it but I was pretending to film an IPhone 11 pro max unboxing and I was discussing with myself why I got it and I completely forgot what to say MIDSENTENCE. I stopped in the middle of my sentence and tried to remember the topic for 4 minutes. I remember that it was about how to take care of the phone but I still can't remember the sentence! I also spent 5-15 minutes trying to remember my teacher/friends name.
