I am one of those fans who wanted Carmen to come back but I gotta admit, they made Quiara and Shane works so well, now I ship them. Their story of how they met is actually very sweet and both actresses got great chemistry.

Rafael Galindo I completely agree. Quiara understands Shane’s complexity and she knows how she processes. It will be interesting to see if Shane’s not wanting to be a parent is just her naturally not being maternal or if she has a fear of motherhood.

That private person line omg.. that was so romantic.. to know your a private person and someone made such an impression on you that you enjoy or felt relaxed and compelled to just let them see you, know you, more than you've ever done before.. that's a beautiful and romantic line right there , km excited to see what weisare1 can come up with for a song or poetry for that line.. that's a beautiful and Romantic line.. I like how bette and Tina's daughter kept watching them both express how you know when your in love.. just the way theh were talking about how they met.. she could see the love and passion and sweetness between them.. I think that Molly was the best match she found in the original series. She was very patient with her and really made the effort to win her over, and only ended things because Phyllis got in the way and made Shane feel like she wasn't good enough for her daughter. Paige expected too much from Shane too quickly and tried to tie her down too fast, Cherie wasn't a stable woman, Carmen was impatient with her tried to change her, and Jenny...I mean, she was Jenny, so...

Ilene Chaiken really went far with the "gay gene" stereotype because we saw loads of closeted lesbian mothers with closeted lesbian daughters, and neither knew the other was gay until they fell in love with the same woman and their relationships ended. But this was different. Angie grew up in an environment where homosexual or bisexual behaviour is accepted and not frowned on, so she would obviously be open to a lesbian relationship. Very clever writing 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I just think that all the creativity and effort that was put into reviving the L Word with an actual decent story was well worth it. The storylines, the dialogue, the subjects it focused on. Just masterfully done. Marja Lewis Ryan really redeemed what Ilene Chaiken fucked up. I hope she stays on as showrunner. In all ways, Generation Q was far superior to the original series. LGBTQ series don't need bad stereotypes and a mountain of hot sex scenes to be successful. Bette didn't have a single full sex scene in the entire season but it still got renewed, because the STORY was interesting.

I think The new L Word needs to pick up the pace a little bit. Look at shows like Shameless for example, It’s fast paced and breathtaking. You are engaged from the first scene to the last. A few eps of the new L Word have been so slow.. I hope 🤞 it picks up soon.

Nothing wrong with the pace of the show. The stories are relationship base and are developing nicely. I like getting to see the motivations of the characters and insight into why they do the things they do. Shameless has relationships but that is more around hustling and surviving. Not exactly the same type of storyline.

Grap Jai She's not biologically related but you don't need to be biologically related to someone to have them be your family. The group became Aunts, and in Shane's case Uncle, to Angie when she was born because of how close the friends are to Bette and Tina.

Grap Jai I’m not being shady. But do you have any “close” friends? Because some people have really close friends that they consider family. Bette considers Alice and Shane like her sisters. So, that would make Alice Angie’s aunt. There is a guy who is really close to my father. They are best friends since childhood. I refer to him as uncle, if that makes sense.

I'm not sure how i'm feeling about the new series tbh...it's kind of all over thr place... And has no solid storylines...

I'm watching these clips and am still not sure. No lie I legit hated the first L word. I thought there were no characters that I could relate to and I hated the trans storyline. I'm hesitant to watch the new version. Let me know if it's worth it???

I think the trans character is a lot better, as are other trans actors in the show, and the other characters are also a lot more relatable and likeable, though it's still not perfect of course. x

I’m sorry that was a nice story And I would ship this couple. If she wasn’t trying to force Shane to be a parent. And that’s exactly what she’s doing you’re separated from your wife because she doesn’t want kids and then you show up Months later and you’re pregnant tell ing your wife she doesn’t need to be a parent you just want her in your life that’s not gonna work that’s not reality there’s no way in hell you can be with somebody that has a child and not be a part of that child’s life. Very manipulative to

bx3610 it’s based on Marja (the show runners) real experience. She’s still married and has a baby, and seems really happy ☺️

Shameeka Hill Oh yeah she is she’s manipulating the situation they separated because one want kids the other one doesn’t. You show up after a couple of months Fall into bed and then tells her oh by the way I’m pregnant. You don’t do that to somebody that you claim to love. If she really wanted Shane in her life there’s a way to go about it. Have the conversation again I want you in my life this is what I’m planning to do what do you think about it but that’s not what she did. Its impossible to be with a person that’s about to have a baby and not be involved in their child’s life.

Shameeka Hill I was thinking the same. I was wondering since Shane processes differently could Shane’s not wanting to be a parent linked to her not being maternal or is she fearful of parenting? Perhaps Quiara feels Shane is fearful of being a parent. At least I hope so. Shane deserves to be loved and happy. She has had so much emotional trauma. It’s time to be and stay happy!

Diva Samai I respectfully disagree - I’ve seen Shane show her maternal side. With Shay and with Eli. And I don’t think they had that scene with Eli for no reason... Shane was there as a setup for the viewer, so we know she’s great with kids...imo. I hope she and Quiara stay together and that everything works out. But I am also questioning how they can be together with Shane not being 100% part of the child’s life. It’d also be a bit shitty for the kid 😂 so I can only assume Shane will want in 100%... at least a time goes on
