I just got my braces today. What are the hard things on my two top teeth on either side. It hurts when I eat with them.

Sounds like they are bite bumps? We place them on the biting surface of some teeth to keep patients from biting down on top of the lower braces.

@Gluck Orthodontics sometimes when I drink water one of my teeth are burning and hurting a lot. Is this normal and if it is, how long does it take when it doesn’t hurt?

what happens if i eat while wearing my rubber bands?

Great question. The rubber bands may snap. We recommend our patients take out their rubber bands when eating.
